Why did you ignore the 0.5 neutral deduction for her coach standing on the mat and why did you choose 6.0 as D-Score, considering they actually gave it a 6.4?
@mustawgym Жыл бұрын
1. YDP is a 6.2, not a 6.0. And there’s a 0.5 ND applied on the score. 2. She has NOT a 0.3 angle deduction on the pak. After all, it isn’t deducted anymore. They kinda summarize it to height and overall form. 3. Aerial+B+B connection on beam has 0.2 cv 4. She also had more than 0.1 deduction on her Biles on FX.
@bensnykers5729 Жыл бұрын
Actually they credited the YDP as 6.4 if I’m not mistaken. So without the 0.5 ND she would have been able to score a 16, which I thought we would never see again this quad.
@anneharrison1849 Жыл бұрын
YDP was a 6.4 at this meet, though expecting it to be 6.2 based on 2021 makes sense, what US judges have given domestically hasn’t always been what the FIG has given, but for them to change it suggests the FIG has seen sense and will give this a D score that leaves space for the tucked version. Your comment makes me know I did the right thing stopping after vault. Vault is the only one I know I could get the scores myself, but it looks like there are so many errors in this video I’d have spotted more.

@@bensnykers5729we probably still won't see that 16 because Cecile said he's going to stand there for her safety no matter what. Which as a coach myself, i really appreciate him choosing her safety over some kind of ego trip. Even with him standing there, she still scored a point more than everybody else on vault.
@bojohns77 Жыл бұрын
@@anneharrison1849USA gymnastics said they're submitting it as 6.4 to FIG because they believe that there should be room left for a Yurchenko tuck to be at a 6.0. that way they hope that this vault will get the value that it truly deserves instead of being a 6.0 or a 6.2. doesn't mean FIG will listen, but it makes perfect sense. Which is probably the reason why they won't listen because it makes perfect sense.

Not so overscored imo for a domestic meet Not sure but i would take an extra .1 deduction for position on floor for the double wolf turn … but it’s perhaps a bit strict because the ending pose was nearly identical to the debut one ahah Thanks for your analysis however because it seems very accurate 🙏☺️ EDIT : She just ate and left no crumbs … 😭 i’m so glad to see her snatch more medals/titles at Worlds/Olympics soon ✨

On the Biles she only got 0.1 deduction for the hop. I would take more off on the landing. She also had very visible form deductions. Her legs were bent on the second salto.

It was awarded a 6.4 d score. FIG will meet to determine a final value going forward before Worlds, likely either 6.2 or 6.4. They gotta leave room for a potential value for a yurchenko double tuck in the 6.0 range.

Unfortunately, I think that the deliberate undervaluation of the Produnova for safety reasons will likely impact how the YDP and a hypothetical YDT will be evaluated. The Produnova is currently valued at a 6.0, the same as the Biles I vault, and it wouldn’t be consistent with how the WTC values front handspring vaulting vs. Yurchenko vaulting for them to give the Produnova and the YDT the same D score. The best case that USAG can make is that YDT and YDP are safer than the Produnova because there’s not a blind landing involved, but having Laurent continue to spot Simone for safety reasons (a decision that I fully support) will undermine that argument. And yeah, I think that you can make the case that coaches should be able to spot on vault just like they do on UB and that a neutral deduction should only be applied if the coach touches the gymnast. But the WTC is super inconsistent when it comes to caring about safety, so I don’t hold my breath on that one. Edit: The WTC gave the YDP a provisional value of a 6.6 in the last quad, so I expect that it will receive a 6.2 value because all of the vaults have been downgraded by 0.4.

This is so random, 6.0 YDP when it’s a 6.2 (and they gave 6.0) and 0 deduction for laurent to be on the mat. Also on bars there aren’t angle penalties anymore on pak salto (max 0.1 for high) 1:46 2:17 step without choreo is 0.1 deduction Lack of control on the gogean

she was given a 6.4 D score on the YDP, and 9.6 E, with .6 neutral deduction (.1 for OOB and .5 for Laurent spotting)
@anneharrison1849 Жыл бұрын
I gave up after vault, I get it that deductions are your opinion, but if you aren’t going to get the D score correct, why bother. It is a matter of public record that her D score on vault was 6.4 and there is no possibility for this to change (I guess in theory it could be downgraded to a tuck, but that clearly didn’t happen). Similarly get the deductions in the right category, the 0.1 out of bounds deduction is a neutral deduction not an E score deduction. I don’t think you are even trying to say what you think she should have scored, you showed what she did score, broken down incorrectly. On vault she got 15.4 from a 6.4 D, 9.6 E an a 0.6 ND. You completely ignored the 0.5 neutral deduction for a coach being on the podium, changed the D score by 0.4 and found a 0.1 the judges didn’t find - I do actually agree with you that she should have got 0.1 flexed feet, 0.1 low chest and 0.3 for step wider than shoulder.

Your deduction breakdowns are uh... certainly leaving something to be desired. Particularly on VT where her DV was given a provisional 6.4, not 6.0, and the rules on steps aren't .1 if < shoulder width and .3 if > shoulder width but .1 if < 1m and .3 if > 1m. Her step would've been .1 and then likely another .1 for landing off-center.
