Finally one of my native languages, now it's time for my mother tongue which is Catalan. You have many Catalan speakers: Laura, Irene and Claudia from Barcelona (among others) for instance, and then you have Andrea from Mallorca, combining one from Barcelona with Andrea who speaks a different dialect could be very interesting and funny, because some words are different. Here I leave you short Catalan tongue twisters: - Prou que plou però pel que plou plou poc - Un plat blanc pla ple de pebre negre està - Setze jutges d'un jutjat mengen fetge d'un penjat And some interesting words: - Xerinola (slang for party) - Escorxador (slaughterhouse) - Trencaclosques (puzzle, we also use puzzle but is a bit more correct this word in Catalan) - Llumins (matches) - Panerola ( this is the right word for cockroach, but people tend to use more "cucaracha" which is the Spanish word) Nice video! Best regards from Barcelona!
@angyML3 ай бұрын
I didn't know the second tongue twister and I'm Catalan 😂😂😂 the first one that I know is slightly different, it starts with "plou poc" but in the end the idea is the same one 😅 They can put 'xiuxiuejar' or 'embarbussament', but yeah, every time I showed someone the word trencaclosques they ended up saying 'puzzle', although they loved the meaning of it. 'Lletraferit' (bookworm) is also quite interesting.
@judna13 ай бұрын
@@angyML "Xiuxiuejar", to whisper for those that don't speak Catalan, is a great word too, in fact, the word itself sounds like a whisper. I love words with "x" not so much with "tx" though, words with "x" and "ix" sound soft and words with "tx" sound like you're about to spit or ask someone to be quiet in a bad way (and in fact when you do this🤫 to relax someone and ask someone to be quiet politely, you use the other sound😅). And about "lletraferit" I didn't know that word, so I've also learnt something new, thank you. P.S.: I'm not exactly from Barcelona, I mean I was born in Barcelona city and I live in Barcelona's province, but, since you are Catalan I can say that I live in the Maresme, where are you from?
@judna13 ай бұрын

This is incorrect lol. Think of the word "Guitarra." That g is silent? The "u" is silent without the dots on the u. It is only a placeholder to make the "g" strong since "g" next to "i" is always soft. If anything, the güi has a softer g than gui. it's a very soft hard "g"
