No it's because they changed the way that competitive gymnastics is done. The equipment itself is different and because of that, the peak physical description is no longer a 14 year old

Made me teary eyed thinking about how resilient she is. When she took her mental health break, people were saying that she was no longer the "goat." Well she made her comeback, and she's still got it. For anyone in any career who is striving to be the best of the best, this is proof that you can take a step back to take care of yourself and it's still possible to come out on the other side of things on top! Being a talented athlete does not exclude you from being a human with feelings and struggles-in her case losing her aunt unexpectedly, on top of all the other pressures she faces! Unfortunately loss and grief do not discriminate, but she took that, faced it, and is continuing to inspire people across the world.

I watched Simon Biles Rising, I think the reason she didn’t meet her previous standards was the fact her body changed physically, mentally, and emotionally, she now has a home, husband, and reasponsibility that weren’t there at the beginning of her career, best of luck in the future with whatever you decide to do.
