What I love most about this return for Simone is that it feels like she's doing it for herself. Not to win or get some kind of revenge for missing out on all-around gold. I think she'd honestly be okay if she didn't win it all. Because it feels like she's doing it more for her own love of the sport and her goal is just to do her best, at least one more time, to go out swinging. She's already winning just by trying and that's a really beautiful thing to watch.

I know Simone is a superstar and watching her in person must be incredible and mind blowing, but all that cheering and screeching during her performance feels kinda rude?
