Whatever we can do to increase safety and the health of the gymnasts I support! Cuz these gymnasts are giving us such mastery in their 20s. Simone biles is a targeted intentional rocket ship and I simply enjoy her. I love this whole team, they’re all incredible.

I can't wait for Simone's return at the World Championships. This year's all-around final could be one of the most exciting competitions in the history of the sport, with three gymnasts, Simone Biles, Shilese Jones & Rebecca Andrade, vying for the gold. I believe Simone will win the all-around gold, but Shilese and Rebecca will make it a close race. Gymnastic's fans are in for a thrilling competition.

Yeah, this is the first competition since Rio where Simone might not be able to fall twice and still win of the other top contenders hit 4-for-4. (For the most recent example, Shilese would’ve outscored Simone on day 1 of Selection Camp this year for example if she hadn’t swiped her feet on the mat, gotten deducted for a fall, and lost 0.2 in D.)

I was saying that this is the first competition since 2015 when Gabby Douglas and Larisa Iordache were in the mix where it’s felt like Simone has semi-serious competition. And even then, what I meant was, “Simone can realistically only fall once if she wants to win her sixth Worlds AA gold medal.” I wouldn’t call that an attack on her skill. It’s more of a comment on how far Rebeca Andrade and Shilese Jones have come that they’re able to get that close to her post-Rio.

Im not really familiar with this, but did she change all her tumbling passes from tokyo Olympics and prior to that? Like are they mandated to change everything every 4 years or every world competition?

As long as the rules don't change in a drastic way, they can perfom the same skills every year, but yeah she is doing a different routine than the one in Tokyo

Artistry tenths can be added if she gives facial expression esp the first half. Doesn’t have to be smile, can be more mysterious etc.

It looked like she might have stepped out on one of her passes at the far end. She took a big step forward. Hard to tell. She's a powerhouse. I just wish she had more elegant lines. She can't even point her toes all the way. But she's world champion for all the tricks she can perform. In that way, she truly is amazing . . .

Yes she may not point her toes all the way but she has some of the cleanest form in gymnastics hands down. She keeps her body straight in layout skills and tucks perfectly for tucked ones. I swear flexed and crossed feet are the only thing y'all criticize her for

I'm a Simone fan. For me, she is the GOAT. Her skills are unmatched. She will go on to win this Worlds and even the Olympics. Having said that, I totally understand where OP is coming from. I respect that opinion. I even agree with it. And I know that many other gymnastics fans think so too. But sadly, I also know that most (especially die-hard fans) will find it hard to acknowledge that. Weird. Because beauty is relative, and I believe that you can find this routine not "beautiful" and still be a fan

She isnt the greatest dancer, but at least she puts a lil spice in her poses, I feel she could go out much more, but her routine is so difficult. But on a scale of terrible dancing etc wise, Simone def isnt THE WORST. Period. Many are much worse with easier easier tumblin passes.

Simone is an OK dancer but this choreography is lackluster. I’m surprised because of her superstar status. She should have had the best choreographer create a masterpiece.

actually i agree.... like her dancing was actually pretty great in her routines before 2020 like you couldn't nitpick about it.. but now all I see is potential artistry deductions. so I honestly think it's just the choreography bc we know she can do much better

It’s likely because they are from the same gym, they are on the same team, and they have a nice relationship from the looks of it. It’s so wild to name call a young athlete who is showing great sportsmanship.
