Super appropriate post-church video - I appreciate the smooth transition, lol. If I was taken aback by the facial expressions of the last video... Mary's expression doesn't quite track with this moment. 😅 It's absolutely gorgeous, though. I love the just-landed drape, the speech bubble, the red and blue of Mary's clothing, their halos, etc. Really beautiful details throughout.

To actually see this painting at the Uffizi is a profound experience. At least for someone who appreciates the great artistic achievement. Someone with a pedestrian attitude about authentic beauty in historical context could never comprehend that.
