I recently had microlinks w/weft installed. I had it installed at a Dominican hair salon near Philly and it turned out amazing. Reasonable price at $95 for 4 wefts. I had more of my top left out. Total time to install and style 1.5 hrs. I actually asked for a partial sew-in and the stylist told me she does the microlinks. Of course I asked her general questions before the install. Do it damage the hair?.How long can I keep it in and can I wash it? How much does it cost to take out? She replied,there's no damage when installed properly. It can last a month or more depending on how you maintenance the hair. It can be wash n re-tighten and of course the takedown is free if they are the ones installing it. The style is very versatile and looks very natural.

@anitaacquah86083 ай бұрын
I don't believe U tips are not the same as I tips, u tip requires a heated clamp to attach the extensions to your hair. The u tip has glue on them, it can be a lot more damaging for the hair if not removed properly.
@peepla73 ай бұрын
@@anitaacquah8608 both uses keratin glue is my point. The difference is the format.
@anitaacquah86083 ай бұрын
Yes @peepla7 they both have glue on them but the I-tip uses the bead to attach the hair without glue on your natural hair, whilst the U-tip doesn't use the bead but instead the keratin glue is fused onto your natural hair. I'm a trained stylist with many years experience and I've worked with all forms of hair extensions. I'm not replying to discredit you but rather just giving the information I know so someone doesn't get the wrong hair and is out of pocket 🙏🏾

You can turn a regular weft into an itip? Can you explain how?
@peepla74 жыл бұрын
@@candytoocool it's easy. First get some school glue sticks...the kind that turns purple when dry. Cut the hair right at the track....fluff off the short hairs that's part of the knot...... squeeze a pinch of hair and use glue stick to go over the end and roll between fingers to make links. Now gather a pinch of you hair...slide ring thru...use the loop tool to slide the link you made thru...pull slightly to adjust so that the link is in correct position....not hanging over and not too short in the ring...once in place...clamp it. The purple glue stick is water soluble and rinses away completely on the first wash or when water is added. Also when it's time to remove the hair...hold it near top...slide the hair out after reversing the link.... making sure the hair is facing one direction so you can reuse the hair later. I know folks that use regular glue but that's messy and if you mess that up...it's a waste of the hair...which is why I use washable glue.
