Hi, This is the best training video I have learned alot about the floor stripping procedures. I work at Walmart and have alot of problems getting floor stripper to come off cleaning always leaves shining spots and and since watching the video I have learned to apply stripper solution back down again. And I use an autoscrubber . Thank You for this great training video. I have it bookmarked.

Is it necessary to put down sealer, because where I work, my boss said to use floor finish only?

Rinsing step is overkill, dwelling time is not enough, baseboard should always be done after the strip or if you are good enough during the strip is the best. This technique will work on very light stripping job but on heavy buildup floor that haven't been strip in years or decade you will fail big time.

Why?

@@AnniesUpkeep I didn't watch the video yet, but doing the baseboards during is just convenient. The only reason to do them after is because you get stripper (with dissolved wax) up on the baseboards. If you can't finish in time and rinse it off the baseboards are left dirty. Dark baseboards this probably wont be noticeable, lighter baseboards you'll have to clean or live with it.

@@AnniesUpkeep His other points are kinda valid too, Rinsing is important but only to the point of removing the remaining stripper, neutralizing the PH etc, is pointless your wax isn't going to come up off a clean floor or discolor. But most ppl rinse twice (unless you have an auto scrubber) anyway. Dwell time for yellow-ish floors with a lot of wax build up can easily be 20min+. Makes it easier to strip and less likely to need to strip multiple times. You need to add extra liquid so it doesn't dry and has plenty to dissolve into. Seriously neglected floors like this are common enough but they aren't the norm for most places of business. This video is good solid basics.
