This game and I definitely have a love hate kinda relationship. It's a great way to challenge your patience and persistence. I've played hundred of rounds by now and I get really good rounds going every now and then. I've probably played less than 10 pro tours ever in the game but that's really the best way to get your rating up... or down 😂

For the Lost Island island hole you hate--lay up to the left side with your musket and you have a 70 ft throw in for birdie. Much safer than trying to stick the island

Man, I wished you had updated your game before playing...the new 60FPS settings are a literal game changer and would have made the video quality here even better. Also, the new grail is the extra glide skip Rive...it bombs! Thanks for all you do man. I got into DGV after seeing your vlogmas last year and got addicted

This was so relatable - I’m not quite at your level at disc golf valley yet (neither at real disc golf…), and I struggle with the exact same holes/courses, and sometimes have a hard time trying not to freak out over unlucky bounces or nemesis holes that screw up my round 😂

Simon, you can disable the hole previews in the settings... at least on the android version. As a new disc golfer, DGV is substantially easier than the real thing!

Nice rating save, Simon! I've really come to rely on the River (EG/A) for a good number of holes and tight situations. I haven't bagged an Explorer since maybe L2 or 3 :)

Simon, you can go into Settings, then default tee shot and select backhand. Then you just switch sides manually when you need to throw a forehand.

Simon!! I love watching you make some of the same blunders as I make in this game!! You are so relatable but still very good at what you do. I learned a few things from you in this video as I'm still quite new to disc golf valley (and disc golf in general). I noticed you have trouble with a few holes that I actually am decent at. You should consider adding the xxx to your bag. It helps me a LOT. Keep making quality content.

The first hole round one: musket off the tee (it lands right at the end of the first fairway b4 on), then distance driver down, and then you're left with between a 100 ft throw in or a putt.

Get roll discs to help stick on the island. Before you can do that though, you can take the Pioneer and lay up short left, and leave yourself an 70-80 footer for birdie, or you can play for par from there. The safe route really isn't the Simon route LOL but hey

Round 3, hole 2: go with explorer high stall hyzer. Forehand if wind is left to right. Backhand if it’s right to left. Easy birdie and an ace is on the table.

Don’t go for the island on LI4, shoot left just behind the tree and there’s some rocks that will catch your disc, and give you a 70 foot throw in

One tip to improve your putting accuracy is to use the throwing chevrons to aim, then switch to the putting feature. It make aiming your puts much more consistent.

I personally like using alot of discs with the "roll" attribute. If they land flat they tend to grab the ground, reducing the risk of skipping or sliding long. For the the biggest distance I jump between light/Bigskip, Extraglide/Extraturn Rive's

You should try discing down on some holes. I use mids when you use fairway and putters when you use mids a lot of the time.

Just a tip: for throwing puts, any shot over 60ft you have to start adjusting the aim slightly lower.

1114 disc golf valley + 941 real life for a total of 2055 here. You should definitely be able to break 2100. Just need a good pro tour stretch + 10 multiplayers in a row that average to a solid rating as that's also accounted into your rating. You need an extra glide + big skip ballista pro in your bag. With that you can pretty easily eagle holes like #3 in the video with a forehand skip and second shot over the lake with extra glide light ballista pro. Would be sweet to play with you sometime.
