So glad Simon is loving the proxy. I’ve been saying it for years. It’s the best. Super straight. You can do a lot with it. Slight turns. Straight. Slight fades. But yes you still need a disc more overstable. Envys are good. I prefer a proton atom (or neutron) they need to make new premium atoms.

I once bought 100 different putter mds to find a throwing putter. The Proxy was the only one that did things that no other could match. It covers your mistakes, flies long and true. The Proxy is a great tool to learn how to throw a true hyzer and especially anyhyzer. Plasma and soft neutron, electrons are not special. Simon will show the world that the Proxy is a 💎

Is Cosmic Neutron more overstable in general? I picked up a few MVP discs in that plastic (because of Simon of course) and they were all more overstable than I expected. But I have a 50 year old noodle arm so it’s hard to know.

I have a theory why some less known discs works better for Simon; I observed that when I throw a disc a bit nose up, most of my discs are pretty forgiving; I'll lose a bit of distance but it will do what it is supposed to do. Not true with my MVP discs; if I throw a bit too nose up, I get punished; my volt dumps straight away, and my photon start fading too soon. So I need to remind myself and make sure to point their nose down; when I do then I get nice straight and long distances. Simon throws weird lines with weird angles and sometimes throw with nose up on purpose to control the speed and landing behavior of the flight. I think that MVP discs react more strongly to those weird angles and nose up and thus I think thats why Simon has to use unusual discs that behave more in line with his style. Good luck Simon!

Had a black special edition glitch that I got when I also bought my Gyropalooza box. Finally busted it out at the course for the first time last weekend and threw it on a short 200 foot hole. The glide on it was incredible. It just kept going. And going. Until it went about 100 foot long and landed right in the middle of a creek that I've never been close to hitting throwing a putter before, never to be seen again. Hadn't even put my name or number on it (which was my fault). All I can say is after that one throw I love how it flew, now just need to try and get another one ordered.

Careful with the soft neutron in super hot weather conditions. There is a difference in grip with higher temperatures.

Enjoy watching your learning journey. I’m not a hardcore Gyronaut, but do bag a few of the same discs. Eclipse Resistor and Proton Fireball are the two best forehand roller discs I’ve ever tried. Trace is always excellent. If you want a more stable run, look for the Cosmic Neutron. Hokom signature run is great, but Trace if Spades is beefiest run I’ve thrown. Maybe perfect for your power!

Dude, the Envy is kicked out of my bag too (Stabilizer rocks.) I'm stoked you're using the Stabilizer! I use that and the plasma Nomad for my envy/proxy slots. Still surprised you aren't throwing the Ohm. Ohm glide is wonderful. Stoked that you are loving the Defy! The Defy kicked photons out of my bag, although I throw the proton Defy. Haven't tried one in Neutron yet. Wish I could find a Panic with a bit more glide, that was a good find for you. Hope your season is great!

I can understand the Envy not making the bag. I tried a solid 3 months and just wasn't working out so I went back to a p3x. I haven't thrown a proxy but Ive been meaning to pick one up because it reminds me of fierce. A disc that I can flip up to flat and just hold that line and if hammered on it get it to turn at the end. I understand stand your hex glow and neutron hex. I personally wish the numbers were 5/5/-1/2 because I like just a touch more overstable hence why you probably have the pyro for but i think there is a difference in glide. The deflector is a must reminds me of the md5 maybe a md4 but im stick with my gut and say md5. The crave, I bag two one in neutron and proton. The neutron plastic as you said will stand up and turn. The proton will stand up and holds line. Obviously headwinds conditions its something i throw high and fairly flat to get to works its way over and slowly fight out of it. Solid roller disc aswell. I have thrown the pyro before and im not sure how i feel about it. The resistor i haven't not thrown so can't comment on it. The wrath I think is a solid compliment with the tesla. I throw a beat in one so it has a bit my understable-ness to it similar to my RT2 so I can flip it up and get that bit of extra distance. The telsa reminds of stock s line cd2 that had that overstable-ness so can flex it and trust its coming back. Fireball i havent thrown but just seems like a champion firebird the board flat runs. Distance drivers, i personally enjoy the photon in proton plastic and I bag a fisson photon as well. The fission one is mostly used for my old s line dd3s that will flip and hold but the photon has bit of more of fade which is what i like. Either way best of luck on tour Simon

As a proxy thrower I want to recomend the Eclipse Proxy. Once you are playing in warmer weather later in the year and want a stiffer proxy, grab an eclipse.

Was hoping to still see the Servo in the bag because it's a personal favorite of mine (and I think it would be a better compliment to the Tesla than the Crave), but I'm just happy you took the 2 weeks off to dial in your game and discs to prep for the season. I like the proxy better than the envy too. It took a long time to realize it and they're both beat, but the proxy is my go-to and the envy is closer to utility. It makes sense in retrospect - James throws his envy super hard and it's beat in. He didn't retire the famous envy until he had the chance to beat a new one in over the off season.
