WAS THIS MY BIGGEST TANTRUM EVER?! (with my dad)

It was nice to have some family visit for the week back home in Massachusetts. We only got tp play one round of disc golf the whole week and I somehow managed to bring the camera along. We didn't play amazing disc golf but we sure had a good time on this fun 9 hole track. This summer is shaping up nicely for more videos to drop!

I didn’t see the coverage but if I watched this I would have just laughed. You seem such a nice heartwarming guy during your day to day, so when I see you get super frustrated during coverage and throw a disc down it just reminds me that you do take the game really seriously. I think your action of laying down would make a card mate laugh if anything, it’s better than just throwing a disc down and being angry in my opinion lol. Either way we love you dude!

Actually from my perspective as a wheelchair discgolfer myself all but the one hole where the basket is on the slope looked playable for me. When your in Germany again you should come to the Berlin area and play a round together so you can see some wheelchair discgolf ;)

Simon, listened to you on Tour Life. I love course design conversations and grew up in golf. Golf was born on the links land in Scotland. Sandy soil, sand dunes, short grass mowed by sheep, long sea grass...sound familiar. Disc golf was born in southern CA. The further away course design gets from southern CA, the less they will make sense. Replicating the original links obstacles in golf is relatively easy anywhere in the world. Replicating the original southern CA obstacles is much more challenging. Disc golf needs to stick to the woods, parks etc. The spectators and cell signal thing will work itself out. Even the courses that CAN accommodate tens of thousands of people only have 1,000 people there now. The technology will catch up and I'm sure within five years courses that are unavailable to the Tour will become usable. It's short sighted to throw away the woods, the very thing that made disc golf unique and challenging. We all know you love the creativity it takes to play in the woods. I'm sure your channel would have far less viewers if you played all your rounds in Iowa. And on the flukiness of disc golf. Golf is similar on the putting green. Most courses the average Joe plays has greens that are far from perfect. The ball moves off the line you putt it on regularly and you miss the putt. It doesn't feel unfair its just the way it goes. Very nice courses with the PGA Tour courses being the best example, have perfect putting greens where there is very little flukiness involved. Maybe this is the best way to find out who is the most skilled golfer in the world BUT it is partly to blame for thousands of course closures due to the costs associated with local courses trying to maintain there courses to similar standards. In golf there is a push for shorter courses, with simpler maintenance, and more fun holes. Meanwhile DeLa is an A-tier and the Tour is rolling out longer and longer courses on ball golf courses. They are making the same mistake. I know you watched DeLa this year, how was that not the most entertaining post coverage of the year? When are you starting your own off-season tour thats actually FUN??? Half-kidding. THANKS for keeping things interesting and pushing the game!

Nice to see you again Simon! I was gutted for you at Jonesboro. Don't worry about your reaction on the 17th - it's only natural to get frustrated from time to time, especially when things aren't going our way - many have reacted much worse. As players it's okay to show emotion when things go great, so why do we have to pretend we have no emotion when things don't go great?! It doesn't make sense! A little birdie tells me you may be coming to my home town of Christchurch, New Zealand next year for a tournament. When I heard that I was excited because I'd definitely come down to follow you and your card . . . but I'll be overseas at the time! Super gutted I'll miss you. But that's ages away, there's so much still to happen in 2023. You're a great ambassador for the game of disc golf and for MVP. See you in the next one!
