This is a rendition of Choon Jang Tul from the ITF Hyung set. This pattern is edited here to show the application of each of the moves as depicted in the Encyclopedia of Taekwondo by Gen. Choi Hong Hi.
CHOONG-JANG is the pseudonym given to General Kim Duk Ryang
who lived during the Lee Dynasty, 14th century. This pattern ends
with a left-hand attack to symbolize the tragedy of his death at 27
in prison before he was able to reach full maturity.

Very creatively presented, Simon. It really shows how those forms are used in action. It makes it so much clearer now what you're trying to attempt when you do those moves. I've never seen this portrayed so clearly and creatively!

Thanks so much! The idea came to me in a dream a few years ago, and I decided to do it. I wish I had time to get them all out faster. but I finished the colored belt ones, black is taking longer. More complicated forms...

Simon Scher I really enjoy your Channel! I have your book too, perhaps you could promote it in an upcoming video. I'm not "Scher" (sure lol) too many people know it's out there.

That chair in the left must be one of those new quantum chairs I saw bill gates buy. There are both there and not there at the same time. Does this mean that we need to know all the poomsae to operate the schrodinger chair?

That is correct yes. and be careful of cats too. Sometimes when you go to sit down, they scratch you and then disappear. :)

To be honest: could hardly withstand those 106 seconds… but, eventually, endured to the end… Simon, probably, this is not the most outstanding oeuvre of your video art…

No, I wasn’t disappointed. I guess, simply expected it to be much more dynamic and lively, like most of your works… (Which, I think, influenced me quite positively). Looking forward to your new releases and hope to learn the back bridge hands stand in the not too distant future. With the BR, Petr
