I believe the safest approach is to diversify your investments. By spreading your funds across different asset classes like bonds, real estate, and international stocks than putting all your money in one. Also, seeking the help of a financial advisor could be really beneficial. They can provide you with tailored guidance and help you develop a strategy that aligns with your goals.
@Joeknowsball24712 күн бұрын
Money advice is subjective, what works for you may not work for someone else, but it's always better to plan. I'm quite lucky exposed to personal finance at an early age, started job 19, bought first home 28, got laid-off work 36 amid covid-outbreak, and at once I consulted an advisor to handle growing my finance. As of today, I'm only 25% short of my $1m goal after subsequent investments.

if you were wondering. $75,0000 HKD is a little under $10,000. Idk what the cost of living in Hong Kong is. But I doubt it’s low enough that you could open up a pastry shop with it. And keep in mind she only started with $50,000 HKD or around $6,000 USD. And for the concept this video was surprisingly short? You just show her giving you a cake, accepting the money, and then accepting some more money a year later. But where’s her pastry shop? What problems did she run into? Where was she working before? How did quitting go for her? There’s so many obvious and easy opportunities for interesting storytelling that you don’t even consider showing. If this is even real it’s like you think the _idea_ of giving a stranger money for a business is more interesting than the actual _story_ itself. The best way I can describe it is that this video is just a title and thumbnail. The video itself never actually starts. It’s almost creepy or unnerving. Like the concept itself is very human and compassionate but the video in practice lacks any shred of humanity. It’s like a robot directed this. I seriously cannot wrap my head around the fact that you did not show her pastry shop once or provide any sort of update into how her business was going. You didn’t even show her mingling with these “important business people”!!! Even though that was supposed to be a challenge that you specifically mentioned in the video! It doesn’t make any sense! Very weird.

I usually don't reply to KZbin comments but I am glad I finally found a critical comment in this sea of blind praise because this entire video felt so uncanny to me too. Daisy seemed genuine but something really felt off with how this whole thing was handled. Like you said, thats really not a lot of money to fund a whole Business with and more then half of the video felt like it was just about promoting this guys Company and Services rather then really focusing on Daisy's Pastry Business. Like hell, we don't even know what she worked as before and something about him inviting her back for that extra business meeting partially with the reasoning that "She needed some extra funding" felt really weird. Him giving her another big check of money at the end in front of the Audience also just kinda felt like he was trying to paint a good image of himself. Also, my biggest gripe, why the hell is there absolutely no mention of Daisy's Socials. I checked for the Store Website he apparently set up in the Ad and couldn't find it. I'm glad he at least linked it in the Description but if this Video really was for Daisy then he should have put the socials at the end of the Video again too.

@@soulkibaart ngl, im a sucker for these videos, but def am wondering a lot, he did link the socials for the business it appears as thought she is still in business, over a year from filming date tho, so thats great.

sometimes, it may be the belief & a tiny push from someone more knowledgable that is needed to kickstart off something for ourselves. in HK, 50,000 HKD equals to about £5000. which for someone who has a full time job (assuming she had one) is not life changing money. especially if you had to quit your steady income job to acquire that money. but even so, with the "small" capital (in comparison to the business world) she seems to be doing well. @@kpopfan8109 I lived in Hong Kong for 3 years, so I say it isn't. Hong Kong is one of the most expensive places to live in Asia. To put it into perspective for you, the average cost of living for a family of 4 in HK is around $4,000USD/month(this does not include cost of rent). You aren't starting a brick and mortar business in HK with only $6,000USD.
