Michelle Moore that’s surprising. I don’t think he’s that kind of person. That travel company he went with was clearly legitimate. Maybe the people around the swimming pool were paid actors by the state, but I would’ve thought the last think on North Korea’s mind was to hire Simon Wilson to sell their place for them! I see why you’re saying it, but I don’t think he’s been paid to do this.

This is really fascinating. And the guide really pushes his luck. Maybe since he's not American, he's not in so much danger. I love the host's accent, very salty. Can't figure out where it's from . . Ireland, Scottland?

The DPRK tour guide needs a raise! what a sound guy, he actually seems so happy and relaxed its a shame he will probably never get the experience other parts of the world and be free.

One of the things I've noticed, with these and other North Korean videos, is something you mentioned about "squatting" while eating. I became obsessed with the "Asian Squat," and its purported health advantages. The feet need to be firmly planted on the ground/floor, with the ankles not raised, which is how we do it in the rest of the world. Apparently, a lot of Europeans and people of European descent, find this very difficult. Try it! I discovered that I could do it totally naturally and since then, I've done it on a regular basis, which often draws comment!
