I live in China and speak fluent Chinese, so: 1. The Chinese lady on the train did not say your Chinese was good. She said "I teach you Chinese, you teach me English" (you replied "thank you", haha). 2. Chicken feet are quite popular in China. Depending on preparation, I'd say they can be quite enjoyable. They're each Caucasion but are still from different countries and have language and culture differences.
