Michael League manages to make the simplest of playing extraordinary. I like how he plays, it doesnt feel like, "Hey look at me, im a badass bass player" its always well suited for the moment.

It is not very common to see a guy using a matched grip playing this type of music at this level. You hear his blues rock influence ,but you also get the nice jazz top end that comes from advancing to more complicated rhythms. Very nice indeed.

I think I'd be too annoyed. Just play the song dude. Big difference here. He usually strikes me as the "look how clever I am" kind of player. In his own world showing off. Cory is playing the lead so he gets to take it places, but even at that he is always in a musical moment. Taking the song some place he feels in his heart rather than stuffing some trick lick in wherever he can. And Nat follows beautifully. Chops in service of the groove and where Cory is taking the song.
