Michael League manages to make the simplest of playing extraordinary. I like how he plays, it doesnt feel like, "Hey look at me, im a badass bass player" its always well suited for the moment.

Music has no color, prejudice, or bias. It is a mode of communication with many different languages. It transcends human racism, and speaks to the soul of the individual. It is God given expression of ones soul

I love the way these guys play like they have nothing to prove to anyone, especially Nate Nasty on the drums .. they just flow with the feeling of the grove and leave all the guessing and figuring and mess to their haters .. they know they got skillz!!

Holy crap! Michael League. I never heard of you, but God damn! Fantastic bassist with a fabulous sense of rhythm and command over his fellow musicians. I feel like with Michael as your bassist that he'd be able to lead you anywhere with confidence! As a drummer, I'd be honored to jam with him.

It is not very common to see a guy using a matched grip playing this type of music at this level. You hear his blues rock influence ,but you also get the nice jazz top end that comes from advancing to more complicated rhythms. Very nice indeed.

Agree. And I like how Snarky Puppy is accessible to and introduces jazz to non-jazz audiences. We have a secret gem like this in Australia - they take VGM and bring jazz to the next generation: kzbin.info/www/bejne/govSYXqejNeAqpo
