Tip and Info: If you mine giant spruce trees I did the math that you get around 125 logs per 3 minutes and we divide and 41.6 los per minute and in 1 hour we get 2496 logs. So i'd say its alright for early game. :)

If you don't want to grow large oak trees you simply just have to place a slab in 8th block on top of where you'll be planting the sapling

That problem was already solved years ago, there is a much easier, far more efficient tree farm design for survival that has been around for years, i guess KZbin's algorithm buried it and newer player can't find it anymore.

Love it. Built one of those automated tree farms and got less than 1and a half stacks of wood for a whole barrel of bone meal, this gave me 5 stacks of wood ,100 saplings, 2 stacks sticks and 5 apples for 1 stack of bone meal. WAY more efficient and much quicker in the long run. 😃
