Those are just single stranded jumper wires cut to the length, bend and inserted into the breadboard.

I ordered the Bourns 3362P-1-104LF Potentiometer that you linked, which is different from the one you used in your video. Do I just place it on the breadboard or do I have to turn and alter the Potentiometer?

You ca use either one. Adjust it to change the sensitivity.

Adjust them to the point where you want the motor to be activated.

The pump was connected in between the VCC and the collector pin of the driving transistor. You can find the detailed schematics on the project page.

The USB breakout board is just for supplying power.

We made the circuit and run this then result is motor running continuously non stop. We changed the value with potentiometer but nothing is happened. And the sensor lights ar on when it's dry and aslo wet. What should we do?

The light on the sensor should be changed when the adjustment pot is rotated. If there is no change then it may be faulty, tray a new sensor.

In the video we have used a 5V usb input . But you can also use appropriate battery.

The circuit is basic analog circuit. It doesn't use any microcontroller. So you don't need any code.
