Respected KZbinr, Wetting peanuts makes them smell of the ground. Thanks for the knowledge. Yours faithfully, Angel Ali Abidi

Why are you wetting the peanuts?
@ItsRacquelCarol4 жыл бұрын
On low fire it helps get the crunchy peanuts results at the end and also helps the salt mix well when they are wet.

I really enjoyed following ur instructions but I fell initial washing is not required

Thank you. If you do nor need it for your nuts it's also cool. I like my nuts more salt.😃 and the wash helps to get the salt to the level I want it to be.

Where I am wrong in roating peanut in low flame. It is led 99 percent raw and 10 percent cooked. Thanks Rims1

It takes patience. The time is also important depending on how much you have on your pan. But before getting them off the fire try and see if they peel off easily and they should be darker in shade too. Thanks for watching

I've loved njugu karanga since childhood. Your technique is exactly how I make my groundnuts- perfect every time and I think the correct way. In the USA no one commercially makes njugu karanga with the skin on. Business opportunity right there!

I don't think it has salt in it
@ItsRacquelCarol4 жыл бұрын
It does😊 That's why i soak or wash it with water, to help the salt settle in evenly and nicely.
@bhuviramesh79084 жыл бұрын
I think u did not show that step 👁️
@ItsRacquelCarol4 жыл бұрын
It's there, or read the info's passing through the screen, it's between 0:30-0:38 seconds from the start.

If you don't need them to be salty, do you still have to soak them before toasting them?
@ItsRacquelCarol3 жыл бұрын
Soaking them also helps them to cook slow and crunchy not forgetting easy to peel of when you want to.

Dear Mam I roasted peanut on low heat. The skin peeled after sometime and it started crackling. I thought it's done. I remove from flame and after it is cooled will be crisp and cooked. But it is still uncooked. After cooled. How much minutes it takes to be cooked properly. Thanks Rims1

Possible that your heat was too high. The lower the heat the better the results

How many days I can keep those?
@ItsRacquelCarol2 жыл бұрын
For as long as a month if you keep them in a glass container with a tight lid. It stays long and crunchy.

Loved the video will try with boiling them first but do you by chance know how long they should be in the oven or on the stove? And should the seasonings be fine powders?
@ItsRacquelCarol2 жыл бұрын
Seasoning is best with fine powders, and depending on how low your heat is 15 to 20mins is enough. But best way to tell they are ready is when the peel comes off when you twist them between your 1st 2 fingers. Thanks for watching and good luck with the try.

shit.. that was a lot of Zalt !
@ItsRacquelCarol4 жыл бұрын
Why shit? That's enough considering the amount of ground nuts and the salt remains on the pan by the time you finish roasting it doesn't dissolve in the nuts like in stew.
