You can first plot a relative frequency histogram... to see the distribution of the salary for each group.. A scatter plot for both groups (public and private) Since for both group we do have one (not two) independant variable which is years ... If there is a linear relationship we can go on with regression (prediction) or you can claculate the "coefficient of determination" which is r * r % we calculate the least squares equation ...of both scatter plots Then interpret b.. if coefficient b of group B is > than coefficient b of group A it means for an increase of one unit on the x axis the salary varies more ....as compared to group B If someone thinks other wise kindly help me know in the comment section.
