DAVE , I want to take this opportunity to wish You and Your Family a Happy Thanksgiving! I appreciate the time You take to "share the tribal knowledge". You have taught me many different aspects of different types of self reliance, which I know is one of the things that drive you, to learn, teach, and even learn together as you try old ways that worked then, and also share new ideas to help us in the woods, on the water, and things at home.

Saw something unique while out in the woods a couple days ago. A snow white Martin. Never seen a white one in my life. It was sitting up, like a dog sits up, on a log sniffing the air. Couldn't tell the color of it's eyes to know if it was a true albino, but it looked real healthy and was sure awesome to see one of natures unique critters.

Hello Dave, any tips on how you keep your glue from hardening up in the bottle after you get an air space in it after use.
@waltlars36878 жыл бұрын
jonnyboat2 glue only has a self life of a couple years so don't be afraid of buy some new glue once in a while in the mean time just make sure air can't get to the wet glue make sure the tip of the glue bottle is closed every time your done I perfer buying glue in a bottle with a screw close tip or use a golf tee or wittle a stopper out of a branch or twig

Do you have any videos of the metal rat trap in action?
@kencollins70468 жыл бұрын
Good info Dave! Don't know if this has been asked already or not, but since these traps may sit out all season, should they be made of treated lumber or does that spook your game?
@strugglejennings72158 жыл бұрын
thats kool what about squirrels would they work in both these wood traps live and kill hole I'm guessing need to be drilled out bigger

Good stuff Dave...can U not run a screw down through the rat trap without the spacers?? Save a couple of steps & work just as well.
@waltlars36878 жыл бұрын
Charles Loveday Dave likes to build things simple with easy to find supplies what He calls "Common Man" building if you have screws and a power driver by all means use them no sense in buying something extra like useing leather scrap to make hinges

Hi Dave... i have been wanting to buy a canteen for years on ur site.... i just checked out a few things i want... it will cost $53 ish but alas postage to Australia will be $57 dollars.. I know this is out of your hands but daym, I cant justify the postage :( it makes me a sad panda. On the upside though I have been subbed to you since the earily days 2008-2009 ish and I still love ur channel. My hat goes off to you :D Thanks for doing what u been doing

We have a dealer in AUS, where you can buy with no shipping
@Nitrisbot8 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the response. I'll search them right now :D
@Nitrisbot8 жыл бұрын
Oh man they really jacked ur prices up on this Australian site. U sell the canteen cooking set with the canteen cup lid for $47.99 USD (fair price if you ask me) but the Australian seller retails it WITHOUT the canteen cup lid for $81.04 USD. I can't justify that I'll have to go without for now :(

Hope those rat traps are really strong! The ones I've bought to kill rats have been pathetic! The monster rat in my shop just pulled out of the two I had!

Looks cool but why can't you just use a baited rat trap without a bot
