Who else thinks there should be a bunch of templates available for free or for sale of this Cardinal board. Not because it's hard to do this. It's just too time consuming to have to be doing all this just to activate a sound or effect. With pre-made templates made for specific instruments or as channel strips, then tweaking such templates could be used on individual tracks on a DAW with ease. But, for now without templates, I have to pass on Cardinal which is great but tedious.

It comes with a VST called CARDINAL Synth that is just a basic subtractive patch. I've been thinking of making some presets but it is kind of a waste of time since there are so many other vst synths that can do it easier and faster like Vital and Serum. This is more for the all in 1 patch projects with generative sounds but it can do whatever u want, it's just like you said, tedious.

Thanks but this is a VCV Rack Patch and not a Cardinal patch, I am sure that I am missing something?@@brockhardentertainment

@@rickyardo2944 If I'm in Cardinal and I save my patch, the file is saved as a vcv file.

There is nothing on KZbin on how to install Cardinal. Otherwise, these videos are useless to noobs like me. Why not make a video on how to install this plugin?

It should install just like any other vst. Just follow the prompts on your computer after you download the file. It pretty much does it for you. The only thing you should really be concerned about is how your specific DAW recognizes vst's. Reason 12 automatically detects vst's you have installed on your computer, but idk about any other DAW. I used MPC Beats for a while and that was a nightmare to get it to recognize the vst's I installed, you had to know exactly where you installed them and even then it seemed like it didn't recognize them all. They are usually stored by default under Programs>Steinberg (on Windows) but this could vary depending on your computer and where you choose to store them. I would first detect where the actual .dll file is located in your computer, then see how your DAW finds them. Vst's are a .dll file. It should say cardinal.dll.
