Compact steering i made back in 2021, Though only made the showcase and tutorial today since i have semestral break now :p
NOTE that its important to have rear motor wheels since the front motor wheels are not strong enough

you can get rid of the half-block, it still works and its smaller.

Yeah cuz the wheel is rubbing against the car, try to make some gaps so it doesnt scrape

Depends, did you made everything right according to the video and the chassis look? Also the right bind keys on the motors? Also one important thing in this steering method is that the Wheel and parts that move shouldn't collide with other blocks since it can glitch the car sometimes

Oh i think that's the reason then, fwd doesn't really work with this steering without a little customization since the motors are just too weak to move the vehicle correctly. The rear motor wheels are actually kind of important in this steering method

Actually yes, you can remove the half block and use compress blocks with invisible and no collision enabled instead of the locked motors

i think i have a solution to the suspension, move the wheel down and then put a suspension below the motor 2 then decrease free length then make the ladder connect to the suspension btw i havent tested it yet

Nice suggestion! though sadly this doesn't work since by putting the suspension below the motor 2 and then connecting the ladder to the suspension, it will separate the motor 2 from the wheel. Though thanks for the suggestion nonetheless!

It works as long as it has powered rear motor wheels and the build is not too heavy

man i built this and the front wheels dont spin and thus the car doesnt turn, i use super rocket engines to push the car edit: im dumb as hell the motor that rotates the wheel was powered edit 2: so now the front left wheel doesnt spin at all because the wheel goes out by JUST a bit edit 3: so NOW what happens is that the wheel goes INSIDE instead of OUTSIDE
