Just found this, wanted to share with you Dewayne - my dad got sick when I was 18, I lost him when I was 20, had to drop out of school and everything to help my mom take care of him (honored to, I loved him dearly). Since he's been gone 14 years now I've been trying to figure out life things largely alone, and there aren't hardly any men out there that will actually sit down and encourage us younger men, or teach us. Videos like this make me feel cared for and it's nice to learn from an older man. Thank you.

Hey, same here buddy. 4:30 in the morning, I switched to an " american breakfast " in the last 6 months because in France, we have that bad habit of typically eating sweet stuff in the morning. Sugar does no good, plus there is a natural boost in glucose from our body, proeuced by the liver, before we wake up to help us get going, more sugar just results in a spike which leaves us with a down a few hours later, as opposed to good fat and proteins. And a whole fruit at the end of the breakfast. No juice. I go back to my French soul for the rest of the day but starting with sugar in the morning is really bad, I've noticed how it determines the rest of the day.

I took everything I learned and then put my own twist into different things. At this point I can pretty much cook anything can I make up a lot of recipes with no cookbook I can just go through what's in the kitchen and what would go well together and just create something because I grew up poor and that's a survival skill that you need to know.

Dewayne, that cowboy breakfast lays a good foundation for a day of hard work. I have my own adaptation of this recipe. I use Tennessee Pride Country Sausage (Hot) and three eggs scrambled in a little whole milk. I add some diced sweet onion and diced tomatoes along with some grated sharp cheddar cheese. Plate it up and add a little Texas Pete Hot Sauce. A cup of strong, black camp coffee and I’ve got one of my favorite breakfast meals. My mom taught me how to cook mostly and I am so grateful for her. My dad was one of those types who'd only put stuff in the microwave and drink exclusively soda. He wouldn't even get frozen pizza that you put in the oven, that was too advanced. We got fast food a lot too and I wonder how I didn't become a fat kid because I always ate terribly. My mom taught me a bunch of simple recipes and always helped me find more online or in cook books. Now that I've moved out, I realize how valuable it is. My apartment doesn't come with a microwave and I haven't once missed it since! I don't have many friends in my new area yet but sometimes I have people come over and I cook a good meal for them. It makes me so happy to share my food with people. My favorite things to cook are soups and curries. I'd love to see more cooking videos and kitchen tips from you Dewayne. I love these kind of videos. I'm not into the habit of making my own food all the time but I would like to be. This morning before heading to work I had bacon, egg and toast. That feels much better than grabbing a sandwich at a gas station on the way to work. I think I will try to get into the habit of making supper everyday, or maybe breakfast. One good meal a day is better than none, and its about building the habit rather than jumping in all at once. That thing on patience. Shorts cuts make for long delays. And slow is smooth and smooth is fast. The battle today in the modern world is the battle of being able to keep our attention span and patience along with it. Many people are convinced that rushing gets more results than being a little more slower and smoother, even when experience contradicts that.

It's counterintuitive to not eat everything (or anything) out of a microwave, but the many levels of satisfaction from chopping, cooking, waiting, timing, cleaning -as-I-go, a little trial and error with temperatures/ingredients/etc, it all makes the final dish taste great. Food done así feeds not only the body, but the soul!✊🤝

Hell yeah this looks amazing. My go to breakfast is 4oz of ground beef, 4oz of spicy breakfast sausage and 3 eggs. Cook meet first and dump them eggs in. Get them all incorporated together
