I enjoy a pipe, never had a “proper” cigar, would like to try one though. The God squad stuff is funny, as are most fairy tales. Keep up the good work.

I would like to suggest a good fistaid/ trauma kit ( not bandaids) because one of the most dangerous things we do every day is drive, and 9/10 of preventable deaths are uncontrolled bleeding.

Makes sense, Dewayne. What’s right for one is not right for others. Use trial and error from different sources, along with your life experiences, then have the courage to makes decisions….. Keep on reading, trying and trucking. Live life to the utmost. Love your fellow men and especially women.

I think the men who run to therapy are the ones who don't need it and the ones who avoid it like the plague are the ones who can. In some cases not all. I've seen men in denial about how poorly they treat wives. Some therapy in that sense could make them actually man up and realize how poor of a husband they've been. But yes, I do agree that being able to handle your feelings and emotions without outside help is a very good practice. Therapy should be for talking sense into fools in my opinion.

Thanks, Uncle. Now I think about life as a marathon and not a sprint. I'm always in a rush to finish things quickly, and as you said, I need to find a good job, but I'm only 20.

I’m 25 and started carrying a knife at around 8 years old. My dad and I picked me out a little Gerber folder at the Bass Pro Shop. When I got my first “big boy” job at around 18, I bought him a nice Boker with my first paycheck. He taught me how a knife should be handled with respect.

Absolutely! No blankets here. I fo own a thick horse blanket just incase an old horse does get cold and have problems. I won't use it unless there is a problem, let them be natural. My horses to get a run in part of a barn, thry only stand in there in wind or cold rain.

I always fed Oats and carnivore and a grass/alfalfa hay mix round bale. Didn't need to grain much in and pastured in the summer. My gelding is 27 now, had to pull 3 teeth do he eats a pelleteed blend, no molasses and i can add a little oil and hydrate his feed. My mare gets a couple of handfuls a day plus hay. If i didn't have to have pelleted feed fpf thst old gelding, the mare would be getting cracked corn and oats.

I took up pipe smoking less than a month ago. Right now I have a pipe every other day, mostly because my wife is noticeably trepidatious about my new hobby. She’s a darling and doesn’t say much, but I can tell. I’m still learning how to pack it effectively, but so far have been enjoying it. I think I found some additive free tobacco sold by Missouri Meerschaum (sp?) that I’m looking forward to trying when it gets here.

50 years wearing hat gives me wisdom to share. I wear only black felt because it is the most durable. Straw is way to fragile and impossible to clean. I clean my hat with a super wet wash cloth and rub it using the toilet seat cover as a table. The sponge cleaner was invented originally as a fuel tank filler in jet air cracft to prevent the fuel from sloshing around. The stores that I have shopped have doubled the number of x's for the same quality and doubled the price. A 5x hat is now a 10x and more than $200 for an every day wear.

Dwayne I’d like to ask your advice on something. Me and two other buddies decided we were going to start a home services business. The ask from all of us was to commit to it and put in time to set it up. It ended up being just two of us that put in the work. Now I’m conflicted between one of my closest friends and business. I’d be curious to hear your thoughts.

New boot designers must be from NYNY city. They have NO idea what a true country man wants and needs. The traditional boot is almost impossible to find. Black top and bottom, white stiched top, simi round toe is the old school do everything foot wear. Keep the IGNORANT out of the Western Appearal business.

He’s right, you know. Get physical. Do at least something - walk, jog, cycle, cook, do music, practical computing, sing, clean, socialise and be Spiritual. And be grateful, Life is a Gift, despite the in-built suffering. We need to rebalance the World, so don’t be a hater, do some rebalancing!

I needed this. You are spot on with the culture in America right now. I have seen so many men that have become feminized, and the ones that resist (myself included) are deemed toxic in some way and need therapy to fix themselves. Thank you for posting this Dewayne. Love your talks.
