I never thought that much about daisies until I was in hospital undergoing surgery to remove cancer. A friend of mine sent me a flower arrangement of daisies. It brightened up my dull hospital room and made me happy. I think I’m going to make a blanket with these squares to remind myself to keep fighting for life.

This was my first attempt at a granny square, usually tutorials can be so intimidating and make things seem so perfect and difficult… it was so comforting to see that you left in all the little accidents to show that even an experienced crocheter can slip up sometimes and things won’t always flow smoothly. It made it seem like something even I can do, and I did! Amazing tutorial!

Hello Anja and Karen, I really love that you sent us to a past video for winning the Daisy Pillow. very smart! you asked what I do with daisies, Well they are in my back yard and I love them right now they are blooming. So I don't cut them or bring them in but they are a focal point in the garden. I do Tat, and I have tatted daisies, Crocheted daisies and embroidered daisies. I hope that is enough to show that they are one of my top 5 favorite flowers and earn me consideration for the give away. I love the field of Daisy pillow and it would bring me great joy to have it.

I love the idea of a cushion, turning them into placemats and coasters would be a great idea to. I love the easy way of this pattern. As to what to do with the squares, I can think of a couple of ideas. I am torn between making them up to make a good sized project bag, or making it into a spring time purse/handbag. Maybe even lining them with a spring time fabric of daisies to keep the theme going.

I love to make daisy chain bunting, it always looks so fresh. My children always made daisy chains when they were little (now they’re all in their 30s) so making bunting brings back such beautiful and wonderful memories, it seems like it was just yesterday 🥰 now I get to teach my 2 youngest grandchildren to make the chains and if the garden doesn’t produce enough daisies we use dandelions. Keeping it simple sweetie 😁🥰🥰🥰

These are lovely!!! 😃 I shall definitely put this tutorial into use for a small blanket and matching pillow for my niece... but not until the CAL is done 😂 🤔 What to do with a Daisy Daisies are my favourite bloom They have the power To cheer up any room The more the merrier in a vase Or made into a head wreath To help frame the face They are simple and with colours bright Turn frowns upside down Or a bad day made right But because I love the daisies so I dare not pluck them I let them grow Others deserve the smiles too So instead I’ll crochet them As a gift for you (and you... and you... and you...)
