Wouldnt it be easier to poach the fish in milk first, then use the fluids at the end to make the roux??

Good dish Keith. I cook kippers in a butter sauce with added parsley and fennel tops a splash of white vermouth, little malt vinegar and a little fish stock. Excellent with mash and green peas. Bread and butter 😂🎉🎉

I buy those Reeva potato pots most weeks, the onion one is nice as well as the cream one.

Great video Keith. I think you're actually better doing things from scratch, anyone can cook convenience food but your methods doing most things from scratch were spot on. Should always taste as you go then you'll know if the seasoning is right or needs more, and a grate of nutmeg was what that sauce was missing even a tiny splash of white wine vinegar. As for the potatoes? Well you know what to expect with them, and a shake of onion salt with a tiny bit of butter when you're prepping it would give it a home made taste. There's loads of cheats you can do with that, and I think you're a much better cook than you think. Saw some natural talent there 👍👍👍

that fish was simply divine Keith, however my old man Dave moans all the time that the house stinks of fish for ages after I have cooke something like this recipe. Fresh fish is the best but he and the grandkids give me grief about the odour for days after cooking the fish. So I have to just do fish fingers in he air fryer to stop them moaning like hell love as ever Maggie xxxx

A bit of fish stock in the sauce would make it lovely. Not too much. White sauce with things added to it always taste like they're missing something without some stock in it. Keep up the good work matey

Nice one Keith... If you're up for a suggestion pal... We like to do something quite similar ourselves... But we buy the delicious Kirkland Signature Frozen Tilapia Loins... They're Boneless, Skinless... And each Loin is Individually Vacuum-Packed & Quick Frozen... They're available from Costco... We use two Tilapia Loins per person... And have them with either... Baby New Potatoes or Mashed Potatoes... Petit Pois Peas... And Parsley Sauce... Now here's where it might get a little bit weird... But trust me it really does taste absolutely fantastic my friend... You'll need a 6"x 6" square of Kitchen Foil for each Tilapia Loin... Then place the Fish in the centre of the Foil square... And sprinkle on a generous amount of Paprika... And on top of the Tilapia Fish... Add a knob of butter... About a teaspoon per Loin will do just fine... Then fold over your Foil square to create a sealed parcel. Place the individual parcels into the Air Fryer and heat them through slowly from frozen for about 30 minutes at 140°C... But if you couldn't get hold of any Costco Kirkland Signature Tilapia Loins... Any White Fish like... Cod... Haddock... Pollock... Hake... Sea Bass... Sea Bream... Halibut... Would do instead of the Tilapia Loins... So if you used Fresh Fish instead of Frozen... Halve the cooking time to 15 minutes at 140°C... The natural juices of the Fish steaming... And the Butter that's also inside of the parcel... Keeps the tender Fish lovely and moist... Try to remove the parcels with care... As the hot juices inside are going to be added to your Parsley Sauce Keith... And this helps to give it a delicious kick... Serve them on a plate with your choice of either... Baby New Potatoes or Mashed Potatoes... Along with your Petit Pois Peas & Parsley Sauce... 😋 I'm sure you'll absolutely love it my friend... All the very best... Cheers mate.🍺
