I have one with the access to the attic in it that has to remain unobstructed, so a custom closet would be way beyond my income. This is a good introduction to doing it right!

Haha oh yeah. It's super easy so.etimes to just make a si ple mistake. Either not thinking about it, or just going head down and not noticing and then after staring at it going "I can't believe I just did that...." Either way, everything is fixable lol. Nor does it need to be super complex and expensive, you can get a great look with a simple design...provided you fix the old ugly first. Good luck on yours!

Here for my second video, dude we have the same closet. And you even painted the wall the same color thats in all my rooms. Lol well I'm using this idea and going to add a sliding barn door instead of the normal crappy standard doors that fold. Thanks again man

Can I install everything, cubbies and shelves) with Brad nail and glue? Unfortunately I do not have any wooden studs in my basement closet.

If you aren't hitting studs then you're just hoping that the glue holds to the drywall paper. I wouldn't trust it myself.

How far down did you mount the rod brackets?

I honestly don't remember. But all I did was take a hanger and see how much room I needed to lift it up and over the rod and decided to screw it on right there

Lol the shelf itself wasn't crap, what I had in mine that was beaten dented, chipped and straight up finished, was crap. Nothing wrong with a simple shelf. I still use them in certain closets. But for not a ton more effort you can have this!
