I like how you made the top shelf a bit shallower. Great build!

So I pretty well followed your guide to the letter - pretty happy with the way it turned out. Things I erred on was not cutting the shelves to a "tighter" tolerance on the width - took more caulk to fill in the gaps. And attaching the face board to the shelf - another area to work on - some of mine had a very slight ridge - that made it harder to create that seamless look. All novice mistakes. Thanks for the video - my only suggestions might be to provide links or additional comments on the material used (paint, router bit used, etc). It will help novice folks - like myself - and in my opinion make a great HOWTO video even better...

What size screws did you use to mount the 1x2 supports to the wall? What size brads/nails in the nail gun for attaching the shelves to the supports? Did you also use glue? Finally, what did you fill the space left by drilling the screw holes? My area where I am going to add shelves is a bit wider and deeper (about 3 feet each direction), but this is exactly what I envisioned when we converted our tub to a shower, and pulled the old shower stall out. Had all that done by pros, so all I have left to do is add the shelves where the shower used to be and paint the wall and shelves. Thanks for a great video!

Hey! I’m actually following pretty much what you’re doing to build our wood shelves. I don’t think I have the appropriate screws though. What did you use? Or did you use a drillbit with the counterbore in it too? I want to be able to fill over the screw in paint it white again. Thanks for any help!

Awesome. Mind if I ask a few questions? How did you paint all three sides of those front strips without getting paint all over your fingers and having the strips stick to the tabletop? Also, what is that tool you used to make the roundover?

Late but idea for u Take a 1x2 furring board $1.50-2 @ box store cut in half or 4 equal pieces lay them down now put wood you’re painting right on top of them basically you’re just making mini saw horses that lay on table/ counter top’ Tip paint your edges first then roll out top’ Hope that helps

What I ended up doing is putting some 1.5" finish nails through some 1/2" thick scraps and setting the pieces I'm painting on the sharp ends. I can even paint both sides of a board at once.

@@Bapuji42 glad u got it sorted’ Answer to your question was 10 months late 🤣 perhaps it will help someone in the future reading through’ If you didn’t figure it out It’s a round over bit’ Most common are 1/8” or 1/4” rounder bit for router’
