you got skills Joe, I like that. I am pretty good with power tools and its not often that I see brain communicating with hands, lol; I didn't see expensive stuff but you sure know how to work with them, especially with dado setup, I got all kind of precise jigs that I use with my power tools ( I got quite a few, even a back to back table saws, one dado setup, one regular blade); keep up the good work. Awesome video. One thing I’m not sure you mentioned when setting the dado blade height for the box joints is taking into account the height of the sled bottom.

We are going to start beekeeping in the Spring so I'm bouncing around learning as much as I can before we get our first 2 hives. One of my requirements of this hobby is that I will make everything (except for frames) myself. Definitely will be bookmarking this and coming back a few times to brush up before I get started constructing everything.

Great find on Ebay. I just placed my order. The only downside is the delivery time so I ordered twice what I need. Thank you for your swift response.

Don Smerdon no problem it took about 3 weeks on the slow boat from China but you can't beat the price

Good job...I made mine following this...but didn't come up with the same results....scratching my head a bit...joints are really loose...not a tight fit....even using the same dado, spacers and shim.

Kevin McMahon it takes some playing with to get everything just right. Use some scrap wood and keep adjusting things.

I did a micro adjust to it....seemed to tighten up enough...with glue it will work fine, thanks....didn't have to tap with hammer tight, but tight enough.

I like the box joints for full size boxes...but for nucs, not sure a rabbet joint wouldn't serve me better. (easier too)
