Simple DIY Plant Stand // DIY Plant Stands (2019)

Made some plant stands based on comen designs you would find at Pottery Barn, West Elms or even Ikea. The plant stand has a modern design and is a super easy diy project.
My version of these plant stands are made from walnut, but you can use a variety of materials to build your own.

Thanks so much for this video! It inspired me to create a couple of plantstands using recovered pallet wood and my wife loves them! The only difference is that I used a contour gauge tour gauge to create profiles for the top part so the pots fit nice and snug.

Yeah, they would popped a lot more if I would have used different woods for sure! They are super sturdy. I won’t be standing on them to demonstrate, but they’re solid.

before I download the plans, can you recommend a good alternative to the domino joints? I don't own that tool, or a biscuit joiner.

Rob Munro I talk about it in the plans, but you could use dowel joinery or even screws with plugs.

Anyone try this using pocket screws or biscuits instead of domino$$$? Also I think it would look nicer and more stable if the legs were splayed out a bit but then the joints would be that much more difficult.
