BUILDING a Camper Van Seating Area In a VW Crafter is a job we all have to do but its not the hardest of jobs, Seating in a self-build camper van is important and it's also very important to make them the right height for you as well, everyone is a different size, so when designing your campervan seating area be sure to make it to your height and size, The bac of your knee is a great height to go off, that's a tip.

Hi ! love the accent . I'm from Oregon., I'm sure I have a slight something , an accent to you also . neat. I'm assuming it's an Irish accent ? I can pretend to be Irish or whatever lol I'm the comedian around here . I'm also a 51 yr old woman who isn't afraid of getting dirty and working hard . So I have purchased a 1993 Dutchman , no apparent leaks , very remarkable considering the age of the RV.. So I should be more specific , thus far ,the ceiling has shown no signs of water damage from a previous leak and no signs that one might be starting . With that being said , last winter was when I bought her , she did however leak a slight amount during terenchal downpours from the front vent over the kitchen and the vent rhat is directly over the bathroom. ( it really leaked( being on a limited budget) , it was just cheaper to buy some water resistant E6000. so far so good.

yer man i seen bob virgin fit one to his and thought hmm thats a good idea to do even tho its not in a fully sealed unit , its always good to have some air flow , but again saying that we will have drop out vents for the gas so it will probably get more than enough air for the fans out of there , so i really would think twice to be honest mate iv just thought of that now and thinking hmmmm should i have really added the vent ? may be not , and arnt videos addictive

@@UrbanVanlife going by what we have on youtube weve just battened, in real life where i can get on with it because im on furlaugh, im alot further, Bed is built, cladding is done, upper cabinets are built, gas tank is on order. floor is down. Really enjoying it, next thing to do is the bench seat i think!

Yer man there isn’t much left to do . I’d have it done in no time but some days ya just can’t be arsed can you . You wake up with all good intention and then think bugger it . Then add weather and it’s a bad mix of this is going to take longer lol . But I’ll give it a good push over the next few weeks and get it finished (he says )

Looks great. Way to utilize that small area so that it can be storage too. Your color scheme is wonderful. Maybe a brighter contrasting color for the cushions? I dunno. I'm not an interior designer lol. Sure seems like you've built this van out super fast. It's really coming along great!!

no mate its at its lowest point and can swivel round ,, but to be honest we where not going to fit one and got it free so just fitted it any way and its handy to turn on its side to strech your legs out on the other seat , but good comment tho mate ,

I have gutted my travel trailer . this is my first one . my objective is to " Flip" tiny homes are the rage rn . As I got into this thing and not only remodel but have to live in also been very challenging .. you have to have an imagination and somewhat of a deep pocket book. I have TWO REALLY BIG QUESTIONS FOR YOU , hoping you can help #1 wanting to build a bench seat half the size it was . looks simple enough howver I have pipes that go up against the wall I will need to compensate for . I don't want it to look like a second grader gave it try . I want it to be multi functional . like yours hold storage , use as a seat or a placd to rest . nothing fancy just doable and estically decent looking

Hi Jenny so sorry to hear about all the issues you have had, we think the first thing you need to do is take the trailer to someone who has knowledge of this parasite and get the trailer fumigated and then see if it’s salvageable. We have no experience with this sort of thing so really don’t know how to even start with suggestions other than that, and will keep our fingers crossed for you. We wouldn’t be putting any time or work in until we knew it was possible as parasites and things like that can be dangerous, please get it checked x

I know it's a year ago .but still catching up o your build ..Can I ask did you have any problems cutting the fancy board ..like chips etc ...made it look easy ..now I think I should give it a try ..but its not cheap to take a gamble ...When done again..all the hard work pays of with the details...

if you use fine tooth metal blades mate youll be fine they cut a lot nicer and you get a lovely finish .

Hey, what is that great vinyl material you use on the sides of the bench and above the driver / passenger seat? Do you have a link to the website where you can order material like that? I painted my benches but the paint scuffs easily.

If you are asking about the laminated furniture board its Italian zebrano from UKleisureparts.co.uk, at the time of purchase it was cheaper than most of the other lightweight laminate ply out there from other suppliers.

second , there is some sort of PARASITE that came w this . it's been a problem not just for the trialer but for me personally . been to the doctor more times than I want to omit over this whatever it is . I have a pic I took this afternoon . it came right out of the wood like I was watching a bad B rated horror flick . I had a rollet brush full of egg shell white paint semi gloss , and it appeared. just one pass over . Gross . I'm a native Oregonian . Never seen or dealt w anything like this nussance . I'm embarrassed to say that it has found its way under my skin even , can't get rid of it ? I've tried just about everything . I'm not a coo coo bird . have you ever ran into this issue. w any kind of parasite ? I was foolish I'm sure for buying tgid old of a trailer , I'm trying to recoup money and keep my head above water . I think we are all feeling tge gas prices and the cost of living as high as it is.. I live In Beautiful Newport Oregon . the Central Oregon Coast . if that helps at all . I'm hoping you h as e some words of wisdom for me . sincerely , not a quitter Jenny
