sometimes you have to go off the eye mate . vans are a pain when it comes to things like this ., you really have to go off your line of sight cos nothing is ever level , no no way is the wrong way as well, its your van and your way buddy

I never mate sorry . But what I did was make a cardboard template from the bulkhead That we removed . Then transferred that to the wood . Do you still have your bulkhead . If not I still have ours . I can trace out the outline on some paper and send it to you if you don’t have the bulkhead .
