Excellent, I hate the 14 step snare. I might actually be able to make this one. Thanks you.

I know this is an older video but if anyone sees this comment i have two questions! How do you tie the rope that snares the animal, what knot would i use to make it tighten when triggered? And is the other end of the rope tied to like a tree branch or something that springs back up when the little stick is released for the 7 cut stick? Thanks for any answers i might get ❤
@bushcraftoregonАй бұрын
you just can use a simple slip knot for the loop that will tighten around the animal and the other end is tied to the branch in any good knot you wish. you can type in slip knot on google or youtube and see how they do it. some make it quite confusing and some really don't even slip when finished. You can buy from survival outlets wire snares already made up as well.

Well the only thing you forgot to do was prove that it actually works you can talk it up all you want but don’t mean nothing without proof!

yep, you're right but don't like squirrels and don't want to kill them to see if it works. Will have to try for a rabbit though.

@bushcraftoregon9 ай бұрын
It would depend on the animal. peanut butter, carrots, nuts, and I suppose dead rodents or fish parts to catch larger prey. could use spot of pitch to hold it on as well.
