You would need to sand the old epoxy with 120 grit to scuff the surface up then you can apply right over the top. Thanks

How do you get the sides to stay smooth because it's self-leveling it seems to be a constant drip down how do you prevent drips?

You can't prevent the drips off the side you just need to work with the epoxy more as it is rolling down the edges. Thanks

Our products are actually industrial coating made for military aircraft hangers, etc. So theoretically in a residential, or even commercial setting it will last forever. This is NOT a cheap epoxy paint that you will commonly find at box stores like Home Depot or sherwin Williams. It is a thick 100% solids epoxy coating. Thanks
