Ooh those look so good I’ve been having trouble with the pair of ears I was making for a friend I could definitely take some ideas off of these (the ears I’m making are stitched and use a flexible plastic instead of foam I’ve been having trouble getting them to stay on the headband this really helped I didn’t even think about wrapping the wire around it)

These are gorgeous! One question however: how did you attach the jewelry to the ears?

Thanks! I use a sharp leather tool to pierce the ear to add the jewellery to them.

I’d feel better if I stitched mine. Do you use a ladder stitch on the edges? Also would you still glue in the foam insert? Thanks for the tutorial!

You’re welcome! Personally, I use a ladder stitch for the edges if I’m sewing them. Yes, you can glue in the foam insert. There’s no right & wrong in creating ears, it’s just whatever you find works for you! 🖤

Will normal hair clippers work?

You can use hair clippers, but the faux fur will blunt the blades quickly. Pet clipper blades last a lot longer 😸

🥺 thank you SO much for this tutorial, it's exceptionally helpful❤❤. You're such a sweetheart for doing this. Also why is it so satisfying watching the fur being shaved off 😅😂 The ears looked stunning. Do you usually use the hot glue method? I know some favour sewing.

We’re happy you found it so useful! 🖤 We’re planning a simple tail tutorial in the late fall to hopefully inspire other crafters 😸 Honestly, shaving the fur is one of the best parts for us too 😹 We don’t often do hot glue ears, we usually only sew them. It sometimes depends on the complexity of the shape.
