We're happy to hear that! By the way, the correct sentence is "I understand." Understand is a verb, so in the simple present tense you only need the subject "I" and the verb "understand." You need "am/'m" only when followed by an adjective (e.g., I'm happy) or a noun (e.g., I'm a student). Hope that helps!
