yes, exactly what i was thinking; drop them down so they have 1 HP left(i think it is 22 blocks, but always have to fiddle with it until i get it right) then the trident killer will be plenty fast, and you can get more drops(using the lotting as mentioned).

For anyone who doesn't know - the zombie pigmen ALWAYS spawn one block to the south or east side of the portals on Bedrock. You can use a map or a sunflower to show which side they will appear from (south where the portal runs east-west or east where it runs north-south).

Btw, zombified Piglins always spawn either to the east or the south of the portal, depending on portal direction. also, if you put a trident killer at the bottom of a drop shaft that is just long enough to bring them to 1 HP, that will solve both your problems at once.

Could be wrong but I think you can use powdered snow instead of water now, it works the same in dispenser to break portal but won’t flow even if timing goes odd. Might be an alternative solution.

Iron farm for the ingots... then take the gravel from bartering and feed it to a fletcher to get your flint for infinite flint and steel. But yes... there is no AFKing with a flint and steel gold farm unless you have insane amounts of flint and steel feeding in, haha.

The button on glass: the glass doesn't transfer the signal, but the button, when pressed, turns to a powered block, and it is adjacent to the door.

You should try a bucket of powdered snow In the dispensers, instead of a water bucket, My opinion it works better And it's not as messy, That's what I always use For my taking portal gold farms

A piglin takes 8 seconds to complete a barter. If they drop more than 20 items in the hopper, it won't be empty before they drop more items. Then they don't get another ingot and the system stops working. That's why you need to use a timer to dispense the gold assuming your too good for the moving a gold block glitch to run the farm at super speed.

Slowly down the gold farm helps me on realms. New gold farms have been using powdered snow instead of water. I haven’t tried it yet but I am excited to see if it works better.

You could have the pitman drop 15 blocks into a trident killer and it should make them a one shot with a teident

On my last map, that I've lost, I used to have a slime piston with Nether Gold Ore moving it without stop, it forces the piglins to trade instantly, because they get mad at player for move gold.... Its way better than wait they think on their lives :)

Hey Foxy, I'm a few days late to the show but maybe you're the guy to test something for us. On bedrock, but not java, it appears that a dispenser "gives" the gold to a piglin while a dropper drops it. Therefore, they don't miss the ingot when a dispenser is used as long as they don't already have one. My test setup was to drop a hopper minecart and a piglin into a hole with a dispenser and dropper at head height. When the dispenser was used, the piglin got the gold 100% of the time. When the dropper is used, the hopper minecart almost always grabs the gold first. Just thought you might like testing this out.

I know you like to work on farm designs yourself but this realy helped me I made a 30 Piglin trading farm and used a system to lock/unlock the hopper they are standing on to give them longer to see and pick up the gold it realy make a difference. I'm not sure but I did some testing on the height of the portal, it seems to only spawn them on the bottom half of the portal so no need for it to be tall as it should be wider

I used the standard 2x2 trident killer with an Impaling V trident in a waterlogged chamber (you can add more tridents). It keeps up with two full-sized portals, no problems. Since they fixed the trident 'falling into the void' glitch I've never had issues. The output is rather obscenely large for something effectively 'passive'. I also send the swords directly to furnaces using a non-stackable filter on the storage array and roast them into nuggets. I'm a Northerner - nothing is wasted. 😂

@@briand7157 I don't know, I've not tried to be honest. The sorting filters start to be too slow to handle the number of items thanks to Bedrock's broken hoppers. Any more items and they'll skip the hoppers entirely.

i know your not a fan of the trident killer mether but i think it struggles to keep up because the trident needs to hit each piggo a few times to kill them. did you try fall damage to a 1 hit kill, then finish via trident?

Your drop on the trident killer was way to short. Drop them further so they take more damage and the trident has less hits to kill them. No need for impaling enchantment when they have a half heart left.

By the way. I double checked to make sure it still worked. Try putting the piglins on end rods or maybe iron bars. Helps to keep the gold from being picked up by the hopper before the piglin does.

Doesn't moving a block related to gold make the piglin instantly trade? I made a piglin trading station with one piglin ang a goldblock to a constantly moving sticky piston but I manually give him gold

Just use a shulk catalyst next to the trident killer to get rid of the exp. Just make sure to use slabs or stairs above the piston/blocks so the shulk can't go up the drop chute walls.

I'm actually a bit confused as to why your Trident killer is so slow, mines never had a problem keeping up with a single portal...now when I tile 2 it starts to have problems, and 4 is impossible... So I made an afk platform in the middle of 2 Trident killers that each have 2 portals feeding into them and their own storage system, including one that disposes of rotten flesh and auto smelts the swords, along with a piston feed tape lava farm that I use to refill some double chests for the auto smelting

Hey Foxy, check out my Trident killers on my channel. I hate observers as well.. for obvious reasons. So my Trident killer doesn't rely on observers and is extremely reliable. Using the repeaters, I interrupt the signal going to them to give them a 1 tick pulse. Making it the fastest and most reliable Trident killer that I have seen yet. If you want me to post a link, let me know. I would use the regular, non remote version. The remote version I made is great and delivers XP but can drop the Trident if you relog. A single Trident one of my Trident killer will very easily keep up with a 4 portal farm of max size. On my 8 portal farm on the Project Bedrock server, I use two of my Trident killers. It's not so much that the trident killer can't keep up with 8 portals as much as getting all of the gold swords out of it fast enough without it plugging up.

Hey foxy. I suggest you check out the trident killer design from xRsBuiltx. The video here on yt is 8 months old, and it works unbelievable! I use it for a double blaze spawners (and my trident farm) and no blazes are piling up. It will surely handle 4 of these portal's without a problem. And you have water and impaling in the overwold.
