You must be on radial 351 (heading 351) of Carrier's Tacan at 21Na in minute 18:00 and 6000ft.

A great way to get to the correct radial is to set the CSEL to the direction specified. This will push the line with arrow out from the carrier to where you need to go (this will be the reciprocal of the final recovery bearing). Once you get out there at the correct distance and get the final bearing you can enter it or go ahead and enter it, the difference will be the direction of the arrow.

Nice video, I have never flown the Case III approach using ATC. When you were making adjustments to pitch was that just using your trim. I use the throttle for making up and down pitch adjustments. Nevertheless good video.

I was using auto throttle control, so you need to change pitch to get the system to correct it again, however flying without ATC gives you more control.

So where are the longe range line up lights on the carrier telling you are on course (amber light), or that you have to move more to the right (red light) or to the left (green light)? It seems there have vanished.

The meatball is still there but in the case III you rely on the ILS system. Once you are at the quarter mile you should be able to see the lights on the portside of the carrier by the lso platform.

@@TacticalWestOfficial yes, I checked for instance in de 'mission' section where you can practice case 1 and 3 landings. Comms work fine, reacting to 'inbound', established, commencing, checking in, platform. Automatic landing also works fine. In single thread mode all lights work fine by the way, just not in multithread mode. And with next major update the single thread mode probably will be gone. So i will try to prevent an auto update. I also tested the lights in first mission in the raven one dominant fury campaign and same thing. Thanks very much for trying to help, I appreciate it very much. I ust reported it on the ED forum and got a reply from Eagle Dynamics that they are looking into it.

The guide is a quick and dirty guide. Not a 1-1 procedure guide. It's more so people can at least land on the boat at night.
