Oh. My. Gosh!!!! I'm studying Occupational Therapy and I looove copper. I bought 18 gage copper wires, 2 years ago, still beautiful as ever. I am obsessed!!! If you don't mind I am sharing this with my Professor as well as students!! We're doing "Activity Analysis", not only that copper had been my love, I bought chains, bracelets, I didn't think I could do them myself. You just inspired me, it means so much, thank you and wishing you blessings, light, and positive vibes 🙏 your work is simply stellar! They are beautiful!!! My mom passed away at 62, two years ago, she gave me a heart brosh with amethyst, citrine stones and I cherish it so much. We used to wear "mother"-"daughter" half-hearts charms, like best friends... because she lived far from me...I'd send her heart jewels and each time I visited her she'd send me off with another...oh gosh I'm crying.... Heart was "our thing" , when she passed, there was a cloud in the shape of a heart...I caught it on camera as I was crying and I noticed the sky on my patio...and anyone that looks at it gets chills because it's a full on heart! I cherish each moment with my mom, she was my world, still is, but sharing the hearts with all my classmates and professor for an activity would mean so much(as I'm crying at this time), you're an inspiration. I'm so glad I stumbled across your videos, they are truly copper, more than gold, and my mom would be so proud. I cannot thank you enough. Inspiring. Thank you ma'am ❤️🙏🙏

I LOVE these!!! Are the wires you use soft or half hard? Could you show how to make these hearts but in a smaller shape and as a link? What wonderful work you do! Thank you for sharing 💗
@Door44Studios Жыл бұрын
I'm glad you like them! I used half-hard wire for these earrings. But you can also use dead soft wire. You'll just have to spend a bit more time hardening them if you choose dead soft wire. Modifying this design into smaller links is a great idea! I'll be happy to show you how to do that in a future video. Thanks for the suggestion and thanks for watching!

Hello! I just subscribed to your KZbin channel and your blog, your tutorials are excellent, with a high quality! I am learning a lot and soon I will start practicing as soon as I buy what I need. I just want to ask you a favor: could you mention the measurements also in centimeters? Handling inches for people, who use the decimal metric system, is too-much-complicated for us. Using centimeters is much easier and if your videos are seen in many countries we will appreciate your kindness since there are few countries that use the Imperial system of measurements. Thank you very much and greetings from Mexico 🇲🇽 🇲🇽 🇲🇽

Welcome to Door 44 and thank you for subscribing! Yes, of course, I'll start mentioning metric measurements as well. Thanks so much for the feedback!

Good instructions! When u put the ear wire on that goes in earlobe, how do you get it to stay in place instead of sliding around?
@Door44StudiosАй бұрын
@@DebbiePike77 I've never had a problem with these earrings sliding around. They tend to stay in place pretty easily, but if that's a concern, you can easily add some weight to them by wrapping the front side with beads or by adding some wire weaving to the front as I did in the variations shown in the thumbnail.

So cute. I love these. On the hoop, when you're hardening the wire, are you hammering straight down or slightly pulling it down? Like when you make the paddles? it's hard to tell. Thank you.
@Door44Studios2 жыл бұрын
I'm using the same drawing stroke that I use to make paddles. Only I'm not pulling my hammer out as far on the drawing stroke. That's because I don't want to make the wire too thick to be comfortable in a piercing. The longer you drag your hammer, the more you'll stretch your wire.
@user-lr5cx1ni4r2 жыл бұрын

Morning!! Thank YOU for all that you do! Love your videos and information. Question .. if I only have 20 ga silver plated wire then I shouldn't hammer it with the nylon mallet?
@Door44Studios2 жыл бұрын
Good morning! Yes, you can harden silver plated wire with a soft mallet. Use the black rubber side instead of the harder white or yellow nylon face, if you can. A well-seasoned rawhide mallet will also work on plated wire.

@Door44Studios2 жыл бұрын
@@minervatorres7368 of course! To do that, just wrap the two wire ends together instead of forming a hook. See my latest video for an example of how to finish the hearts that way. Then attach an ear wire to your hearts.
