Simply amazed by your 3 dimensional thinking, getting that helm fair and true with Poem's lines. 3 parts for the hands, 1 for the eyes. Also simply amazed by the size of the pupper!

Elegant comes to mind, referring to your Helm. Small yet strong just like a sapling Elm. An eye for detail and efficiency although you have but one! Simple determination must make your system run.

It's always fun to watch your circular saw carving. A great example of the KISS approach - - "keep it simple, stupid". Lots of us would be hacking away with a jig saw and rasp. 😅

Finnegan reminds me so much of my Corgi "Crackerjack". He was a "fluffy", so weighed in at 40#s or so, and just the best dog ever, as I'm sure Finnegan is and will be, as well as a good size pup for nautical adventures. " 'Jack" had his sea legs and enjoyed sailing the upper end of Puget Sound with us - the only thing that bothered him was when we had to fire up the diesel engine. Good times!

Just an idea, since that wheel is wobbling on it's worn shaft, you (or a shop) could drill the center out and have a new shaft, running in a bearing on the inner face of the helm and with a new gear on it's inner end. Then you could run the chain to Starboard and over gears to the cables. You could leave the old gear, but I'd turn it off for a more 'finished' look. Just a suggestion, I'm sure you have plans of your own... 👍😁

@RenegadeADV So, when ARE YOU going to show us some vid/pics of your own refit? You said over on the Wildling Sailing's channel that you spent $100,000.00 on a recent refit to YOUR OWN boat, but I find it interesting that there isn't ONE LOUSY picture or comment about it on your own sailing channel. Three years in the yard with this supposed $100,000.00 refit and not one photo?? Additionally, your latest KZbin short, when you finally got out of the yard, appears to show the same old topside neglected boat? You either have a solid gold cabin sole, countertops, toilet, headliner, etc., or you're FOS.

Bourbon Moth Woodworking uses super glue to attach "caul" blocks on the corners where he is gluing miters the cauls are cut to the same angle as your miter making your clamping surface perfectly flat and square. then you knock the blocks off and sand away the superglue that is still left.
