Simple hook, eye clasp and chains from copper wire - Basic Guide - How to make jewelry from copper wire by Lan Anh Handmade
Some people who are new to this subject often have some difficulty tracking my videos. So I will make some basic tutorial videos for them to get acquainted with the basic operations.
There are many ways to make hook, eye clasp and chains , this is the simplest one I usually use.
Most jewelry need use hook, eye clasp and chains
Depending on the purpose, you can use large or small wires, change the details to match the pattern you want to do.
This basic chain is often used to connect motifs
Hook for use on bracelets, anklet or necklaces.
Eye clasp are for bracelets, anklet , necklaces or pendants
Round one side with a metal file
In the video I use :
20 gauge ( wire diameter 0.8mm )
TIPS :
- Before doing, Always be sure to straighten the wire for a more beautiful product
- Can use a towel to straighten the wire.

- Can be replaced with silver wire or gold wire for jewelry more valuable
Or simply use cheap material like copper wire to make gifts for friends, family or for yourself
- I just give way reference, not the best way. Can change size wire to suit your purpose. You can do better than me.
- I bought all the material and stones in where I live (Vietnam)
I used to round copper wire - magnet wire , it's the only kind I found where I lived for many sizes. I do not know exactly what type it was, can be normal copper wire, it have plating layer, and not dark by time

Eu costumava arredondar fio de cobre com camada de revestimento, e não escuro pelo tempo Se você usar cobre puro, ele será oxidado. Você precisa oxidá-lo, polir e cobrir uma camada de proteção para que não mude com o tempo. essa é uma regra geral, mas ainda não tive a chance de tentar.
