This design is very nostalgic. 7 years ago when I started playing 7 days to die, this was the meta base together with the classic bunker and pyramid base. This design is the fundamental for every player and from this design the base will evolve to a more complicated one. Great vid!❤

my brother got me 7 days to die for the ps4 in 2016. He bought me far cry 4 too, and surprised me with both games. he bought himself 7 days to die too, and ever since that day i loved the game. so much good memories on the old game so when i saw they released another one, i was estatic.

good idea in theory but suggest making it at least 7 blocks high otherwise zombies will get under you and think they are close enough to you and can't get to you so go into destroy area mode. making it 7 blocks high will help negate this. plus fill in the lower wall so they cant get under you. the rest is sound. depending on what style you're using to fight,

Watching your intro really takes a minute to appreciate how much better the character models look now :) (I liked the corner poles you added in the series, bumps each support up from 5 blocks to 9. Also, there may be a "plate" with a hole in it, which would allow you to repair the center column, not sure what block would be ideal for that, but I'm sure there's something which would work for that) My own first horde base is usually an elevated 'hatch hallway', so I can be more touchy-feely with the zombies ;)

Am i just braindead or do 90% of these items not exist in the game? I have no ramps of any kind, no cobblestone bars, nor plates. Did they remove like everything from the game? Currently on V1.1 (b14)

Does the biome matter for the 7th day horde? Like would it be harder if i built this in the snow biome ?

The biome would only really matter during setup as the zombies are tougher and the animals will be on you a lot. For the horde itself, the gamestage isn’t affected by biome (which decides your difficulty for the horde), but your gamestage would be dramatically increased over the forest biome which means better horde loot!

Whats the point of this? The purpose of the game is to loot and survive but with so many options to tweaks settings in anymode with the normal game and the glitches you find... it's end game. You gonna have fun just killing zombies cuz thats what the game downgrades to with all these features.... Think about it. Whats the point of this game after so many tweaks. This game you can tweak settings at anytime in anymode..... wheres the fun in that? I guess it's fun if your simple minded and can forget and pretend there are always new adventures...trick the brain... but I'm a different breed.... I also like OEM MODS MODS MODS..... 7 days is just a server program in the main menu where you must tweak server settings before you play and can also change them at anytime... like a spoiler to a good movie is what it is like when you are actively playing thinking to yourself...... oh wait i can just do that one glitch or that one mod.... Who survives a horde at there base? All you have to do is travel 20 houses away from your bed die from horde and when you spawn at your bed no zombies go after you. Remember there are settings you can tweak at anytime so when you die you spawn with all your stuff. love it..... Rmemebr 7 days to die zombies are dumb dumb

Base with 4 legs with plate? Be honest you have no idea of the game how it work. Zombies on plates can stand thats why anyone shouldnt use as a cover, no place for storages and bed,forge too and campfire at beginning and no portable water resourse inside . No ladder shortcut, no ground melee bunker to jump and fight melee after horde to dont waste ammo. No pipe bombs

Be honest, you did not read the title of the vid. It says there "Simple" Horde base for the "first" horde night. First, there are two fundamental types of bases design: 1.) Main base and Horde Base are bundled together. 2.) Main base and Horde base are separated with each other. In this case, it is obviously #2, therefore spaces for crafting and other essentials will obviously not be present in this design. Also, this design can properly function as a " simple horde base" for the "first" horde night, heck even a 4 block high 5x5 can function as a proper horde base for the "first" horde night. 😂 Lastly, what do you mean portable water source inside the base? When did you last play? Alpha 20 or earlier version? 😂😂😂

@@paulodiaz5774 are you fucking stupid? Im on console and its no problem to make a house water gap to drink with the bucket. Only Pc noobs separets bases firstable. If you know you can smelt and cook whatever you want , just fire up and go to mission or move yourself from chunk. I spoke about first horde , it must have at day 3 water at the base, its no tough make buckle from 7 iron. Need gap in the base for molotov (bigger) and pipe under your position. It waste resources if you wont upgrade basic structure and waste time. One day digging clay one night digging stone when you are secure with food better.

My 7 day horde base was a grassy field. I just moved around and smashed them with a club. It's really economical and I didn't have to worry about my work stations, water collector, or storage boxes getting destroyed.
