Well Steve, I'm a year late but what the heck I'll tell you how I got into magic. . . I was about 9yrs old sitting home with my grandparents watching " The Magic of Mark Wilson " it was the show with his son Greg Wilson was performing and he was doing the multiplying balls, he floored me mind you I was doing some magic; card tricks, ropes, coins. I wanted to learn more, I loved the reaction it left on my audience's faces especially on the spectators face. It's an adrenaline rush. At the end of the show he was offering " Mark Wilson's course in magic for $9.99 p&h " I wrote the information down and gave it to my grandmother a few weeks later I received it in the mail and the rest is history. I love what I do and do what I love. Put on smiles on faces. . . .

When I was a kid one year my father bought me a magic kit called the magic chest. It was cardboard brief case with tiny magic tricks. I loved this gift but I didn't know much about magic. That same year my father passed away. In those times magic shops were cool and lucky for me there was one located near my home. The owners knew of my dad's passing so everyday after school I'd hangout at the shop and they taught me all the tricks in my magic chest. I fell in love with magic. I came to find out years later this shop is where my father bought my magic chest. He loved magic too and would hangout with the owner learning the tricks he bought me so he could teach me himself. Magic will always have a special place in my heart as it helped me during a difficult time in my liffe. Thank you for your channel.

#STEVESWORLDTV I was 13 when I saw Dynamo(Steven Frayne) on TV. It was 'History TV18' and he left me completly shocked. Since then, I have made it kind of like a mission to get the most jaw dropping reaction from people with my cards. Here in India, cards aren't a good omen and people have tried to get my cards away from me, but I continue to do magic and cardistry because I love it. This is kind of a long story but this is how I got into magic. One year for Christmas when I was around 7 years old my mother got me this Criss Angel magic set for Christmas. I loved the set but I got frustrated with it one day. So I threw it in the corner. So then in 10 grade Biology class my teacher started showing us card tricks and I remembered how much I used to love magic. Then I started practicing then we have been doing battles against each other by doing card tricks. That is my story! By the way I discovered you by A Million Card Tricks! Right so I grew up in South Africa, Durban and back then card magic was scarce, especially trying to learn it. You’d only be able to catch it on the telly from professionals but even then you wouldn’t learn anything. I really wanted to impress my friends at school once so I grabbed my parents deck of cards and spent nights slaving away at making tricks. I thought I was a king when I figured out the double lift and slowly dropped off into addiction for card magic! I had people constantly asking me to do tricks etc etc and that really inspired me to get into it. My family when I was that age wasn’t financially stable so I didn’t have a phone or anything to watch tutorials on. I live in Fiji now because of the crime rates in SA and the pure anarchy it’s undergoing right now. Living in Fiji it’s practically impossible to find good cards. The 2 options here are plastic coated paper cards that rip at a sneeze and just small paper cards that last a day or two. I’m sure you can imagine as to why I’d enter the giveaway 😅. When I was little I would go to church and every year they'd use a magician to represent some things of god.I was so interested on people's reactions and how impossible it looked so I bought a deck of cards and messed around and researched things about magic and the history of magic then from there on I just kept on doing it then years later when I was in the 4th grade and I got my first reaction from someone who wasn't my mom and thought it was amazing, then I kept studying magic and now I am a magician. After having a sponge ball trick done in my hands as a little kid, I had always been interested in magic. It wasn't until I saw so many magic performances on AGT that I had to finally figure out how some of the tricks were done because to me I truly felt that there was just no way. 2 and a half years later I am a card fanatic and have about 30 card tricks up my sleeve that I can do for a spectator at any moment. I got interested in magic a few years ago when a mate of mine showed me a trick however I never really did it myself until 2016 when I had open heart surgery at the age of 28. My favorite magician is Chris Ramsay and not because he taught a LOT of tricks on his channel but because of what he’s been through, he left ellusionist to work as a full time youtube programmer and his channel at the time wasn’t so big and he regretted some tricks that he taught because he didn’t know the real creator and there’s many more and of course you are also a very good magician i mean look at your performances! I got into magic because when i first watched magic was from clowns on birthday parties and they we’re funny but then one day i stumbled upon shin lim and chris ramsay and i saw their performances that they uploaded and i saw the reactions and that got me thinking “i want to make people happy so why not show them something extraordinary” and that’s when i started watching chris’ videos and about cardistry, looking at it’s beauty while the motion continues, it gives me nostalgia and reminds me of something that’s very important to me and i know it isn’t part of the question but i just wanted to share my thoughts. #STEVESWORLDTV Ps. I got into magic as my job is a school photographer and I take photos of kids. So sometimes kids are young and they don't tend to pay attention to you when you're just a normal guy. But when I told them I was a magician then they look at me while I show them a trick or two and take their photos. From card tricks to coin magic. And I learn it all from KZbin and most of magician I learnt from is like Chris Ramsey, Russian Genius and many more. But my favourite is A Million Card Tricks as my few tricks I learn is from him. I absolutely loved that movie and I started watching some videos on KZbin. I've learned some tricks from Mismag822, and I mostly get my tricks from A million card tricks. I first saw magic in my childhood. I thought they were real and have super natural powers. When i came to know its just a trick I was hoping to learn some of that. My favourite magician is Shim Lim , after seeing him win AGT grandfinale I really wanted to learn some. Then I searched websites , I read books lastly I ended up in KZbin with magic teaching channels.I love to impress my friends . #STEVEWORLDTV

The reason I got into magic is because of David Blaine the first magician I have ever known I think that time I was 5😅. Then I began to learn magic tricks and perform to my mom, day by day it became my passion and the second reason I will say the amazing reaction of audience when I do magic tricks. #STEVESWORLDTV

Nice vid, Steve! As for why I got into magic, have had a particularly bad bout of depression for a couple years which meant I didn’t do shit, and the inactivity was a hindrance. So, I wanted something I’ve never done before, and accidentally came across a Lennart Green vid (the TED talk one) and it just completely blew my mind. I still suck at magic, but it’s all about having fun, learning something new, and connecting with new people. And those three things it’s given in (pardon the pun) spades :) #STEVESWORLDTV Unrelated though, but what’s the book in the top-left with the plant on it? I’m a sucker for simple but fancy cover designs lol.

#StevesWorldTV I got into magic when I was 7. My mom took me to our local library where a magician did a lot of cool tricks with ribbons, cups and balls, and every other trick a kid magician would do. Seeing that, I searched on KZbin how these tricks were done and eventually, I got interested in card magic and I’ve been doing magic ever since. Although you are a great magician, my favorite magician would have to be Chris Ramsay. Congrats on a 100 subs! 🎉 🎈 🎊 (Btw, I’m already subscribed and I liked this video already. I don’t think it’ll be long before the 100k giveaway! 😉)

Actually my story isn’t that awesome like the others...My little cousin was sad and I wanted to cheer him up ... The first thing that I saw was a deck of cards and I started doing tricks with the key card principal because I didn’t know anything else... After that I was like “Hmm let me see what else can I do with cards” That was the moment I log into KZbin and was already hooked up on doing tricks! ❤️ #StevesworldTV
