I love this - very simple and elegant. Ink & Wash is my "go-to" style but I usually do the ink after painting. I will try this method. I always worry about the ink smearing if not 100% dry before applying water & paint. You proved me wrong! I love the look of both. Thank you. Interesting, I drew along with you on my first attempt but could not get the angles to match; the perspective was all off which is a big part of this drawing. I tried again by first drawing just the cylinder (hat box) then just the cube. Once those matched, I then completed the embellishments of bows/ greenery. Maybe will help others. You have a gift.

Thank you! As long as you use waterproof ink it wouldn't move :D I've had experience with non waterproof ink as well, and it was a mess but I tried to embrace it, luckily it was a lose painting haha

Oh perfect! Whenever you need something quick I would recommend using ink and wash :D theres no need or barely any need for layering which makes the process so quick!
