why isn't threshold working for me? At first I thought it was the color (I was using white) so I switched over to black but still nothing, any suggestions?

never mind, figured it out. Cannot clip the threshold to the text, must have a background included in the merge to retain effect. Thank you for the awesome video

You need to unlock the first layer (the white background) then merge it with the rest, all the layers have to be merged to work without affecting the threshold effect
