Yes!! My mother grew up and a farm and every summer vacation we spent on that farm. Everything we ate from the collards to the hogs came from that farm. My uncles were once talking about hunting raccoons and I said; “Yuck!” and my mother said: “You ate that before!” 😳

Yes, I grew up on our family farm in Michigan and, if we hadn't slaughtered the rabbits, chickens, pigs and occasional cow that we humanely raised, we wouldn't have survived long. And recalling the high quality of those fresh meats compared to the horrible factory-farmed stuff that shows up in supermarkets makes me feel sorry for those who don't want to think about where it comes from.

I am also from Michigan ,,,,I love the way you put the facts of life. Animals are more a way of survival than pets. The mention of being humane is so important. Survival and the enjoyments of the fruits of the bountiful world we live upon. Maria doesn't need to just pop in a frozen meal or drive by a MacDonalds to fuel her life. Her beauty is from within. I've watched this video several times now, I have on loop. Every step of preparation, every ingredients, ...every pause at the powerful full of life river she walks by shows me she belongs in the life she lives. There may be hard time, I'm sure, but she is prepared to weather them through her strength. I am a songwriter and I am writing a song about the homeless with cardboard sign looking for a few tokens of friendship and warmth in their aloneness. Maria, once, again we take on a new challenge! Roast goose! From farm to table to tummies. Its amazing the amount of people who have no idea, from start to finish, where or how it comes to be!! Nothing is simple. Even grinding your own chicken for the stuffing!!! Your movements are so precise!! We used burning, folded up newspaper, to singe the hairs off the poultry!!! I like how you can use your stove for this task!! More practical. I've never seen a goose opened up like that, but, again, perfect for the addition of stuffing! My admiration continues. The walk to the farm, in that damp weather. Nothing for it, but to do it!!! Yet you stop ,briefly to admire the scenery and listen to the spring, rushing water! You always look lovely, your "Mona Lisa" smile, is charming. ❤ Thank you

Ab diesem Zeitpunkt habe ich das Video gestoppt. Das erste Mal, dass ich ein Video mir nicht weiter ansehen konnte. Fleischverarbeitung ist für mich sowieso ein Problem, aber das lebende Tier vorher noch zu sehen war nicht erträglich. Ich sehe die Videos mit Maria besonders gerne, aber heute ging es nicht.
