I live 7 miles from lower Manhattan in Brooklyn and sometimes it takes me over 1.5 hours to get to work via train. By car it's no better either if there's traffic and you get stuck for an hour. We have middle schoolers learning what you guys learn in high school through a program called Regents and many graduate by 15/16/17 (depending on their birthday) thanks to the program. Also native New Yorkers are given programs for networking purposes to increase wealth. We have a 24 hour affordable public transit system and strict laws protecting tenants. We also get higher minimum wage and plenty of tax cuts if you know how to use them. The part of NY you’re seeing in this video and the original poster saw isn’t the REAL New York at all. Don’t buy that lie. They make the rent higher because they’re stupid and get taken advantage of and want to bring their friends but not get REAL jobs. Fuck them.

Maybe she wants to be that writer that lived/lives in Manhattan. People always want to live and get things that sound “higher class”, lol.

Well that's a pretty appalling living condition in nyc or anywhere else for that matter. That's not living but misery.

You’ve done quite well in organizing your apartment. I live in 40 square feet an am also very comfortable. It just takes a little adjustment and planning. The only thing I don’t have is a bath. An athletic club close by fits that need.

I'm not sure if she's trying to convince us..or herself that this is a "cozy" way to live. Sorry, this isn't a typical situation for people..this is her own choice. There are a LOT of better ways to live in America.

100% true. She is a writer and an artist. She don't have to live in New York to do those things.

I could stay there happily a couple of nights but that's not a home, especially without a kitchen. I'm all for tiny living but for me this is a horrifying example of it.

Quickblood1 I did three years in a 6 by 9 cell that’s horrible living. Now this is heaven to millions of people in prison and millions more in countries that have nothing.
