Thank you kindly! Will be posting an updated condensed video tonight or tomorrow morning with a better A/B comparison which will showcase the mid/side saturation/EQ changes without the volume difference.

this was tremendously helpful!! didnt see you using any glue compressors though....
@InspiredWithAC11 ай бұрын
This is correct - I didn’t use any. I used to use a slow attack/fast release compressor as one of the first plugins in my chain (something like the Shadow Hills Mastering compressor works well). I don’t add it to every master anymore if I don’t feel it needs it. I do glue compression into an EQ, then into a more aggressive compressor on my mix busses (especially drums). When I get to the master, I simply try to bring out the characteristics I find make the song stand out.
@raj-thefakeshady995410 ай бұрын
i totally get it. I do think there are no hard rules and the use of plugins(compressors eqs) depends on what is needed. @@InspiredWithAC

what is the best alternative for Pulsar 8200 for mid/side EQ, can I use ozone? please guide me.
@InspiredWithACАй бұрын
Ozone works as well. It all depends on what you’re looking for in your EQ. If it’s just mid/side, both Ozone and Neutron 5 (older Neutron versions don’t have mid/side) are more than capable. Sonible’s Smart:EQ and Pro Q 4 have mid/side processing as well.

Great video and track.. The track sounds very detailed and pro...(perhaps a unity gain A/B would also be a helpful before and after ). Regarding the God Particle , Jason Joshua suggest mixing through it as he claims he does . Any thoughts on that...
@InspiredWithAC11 ай бұрын
Much appreciated. RE: unity gain on the A/B, you’re absolutely right. I’ll give an update when the track is released next week. I sent it to Spotify so I’ll do another quick A/B comparison and provide a link to the song as well. RE: The God Particle, Jaycen was actually the reason I bought it. I’ve learned a lot from watching his mixing techniques. He’s an incredible mix engineer. As far as him using TGP on all his tracks, I legit doubt it (even if he swear by it). It’s been hit and miss for me. When it hits, it hits incredibly well. On other mixes, it makes the sound too wide or overly saturated. I can simply lower the amount of TGP I add to my mix, but I find myself using other plugins instead.

What should be minimum ceiling level for Instagram
@InspiredWithAC11 ай бұрын
Anything below 0 db. -1.0 to -0.5 db should be fine. You could even do -0.1 db and you should be fine. Also, I believe IG normalizes the audio of every uploaded video. They recommend aiming for -14 LUFs.

That's a lot of money gone into those plug-ins
@InspiredWithAC11 ай бұрын
I highly recommend KVR buy/sell forum and Knobcloud. There’s plenty people selling their licenses for 50% off or more (for plugins that allow it). Also Black Friday and mid summer sales. But yes, even with various sales, buying plugins can get very expensive fast.

What's the point of not volume matching in metric-AB at the end? I feel like that's kinda deceptive since we naturally prefer a louder signal... and well of course the master is gonna be louder. Would be nice to hear the two versions gain matched so you can more soberly judge the improvements you made with eq and compression.
@InspiredWithAC11 ай бұрын
Yes, I forgot to set the volume to match. I mentioned in a comment above that I’ll be making another video where I’ll A/B compare it again at volume parity. I’ll upload it over the next few days. Thanks for watching though.

y to make soo complicated, simple way is to add freshair(vocal bus 80%).then add master plan(glue) thats all,u done
@InspiredWithAC10 ай бұрын
I tried Master Plan. I personally wasn’t a fan. It’s not a bad plugin by any means but I could get a better sound using other plugins. I’m also not the biggest fan of the all-in-one plugins with just a few knobs. But if the all-in-one works for you and you get a sound that you like, then there’s absolutely no need to go overboard on adding plugins and tweaking your mix and master. Thanks for watching!
