Around the 8:58 you boosted the high end but reduced it? Why not leave the line at zero. Why raise and reduce at same time
@InspiredWithAC3 сағат бұрын
By raising the filter, it increases the overall brightness of the sound. Setting it to dynamic mode and ducking back down means that once a threshold is hit, it begins to pull back those highs. This means that the track will be overall brighter without being piercing to the ears.

Question when routing all of your drums to a drum bus do you include the 808 as well?
@InspiredWithAC8 ай бұрын
I personally don’t. Some do. The reason I don’t is because I like to separate my 808 and any other bass from my drum bus. If you stem out your track at the end and want to make artistic/eq changes after, you’ll be limited if your 808 is on the same track as your drums.

so in your master chain first comes gulfoss, and then ozone and finally God particle?
@InspiredWithAC11 ай бұрын
On that specific track, yes. If I use Gullfoss, I like to have the final mix go right into it first to do some adaptive EQ cleanup. Then I like to run it through ozone next. My Ozone modules are not static, but vary depending on what the track needs. As a general, I tend to use their Dynamics for multi-band compression, Exiter for saturation, Imager for stereo with processing and Dynamic EQ. I run it into the maximized sometimes (though it can be redundant if you’re running it into The God Particle’s limiter). Lastly, if I feel like it still needs to be a bit beefier, I’ll run it into GP. But I don’t always have GP as it’s hit-and-miss for me. Another plugin I may have on my master before the final limiter is Soothe if there’s any resonance or anything that needs to be tamed and it’s taking me too long to manually do it myself.

@@InspiredWithAC ok thanks for your detailed explaination!

@@InspiredWithAC I dont have soothe 2 do you think I can use reso from master the mix for removing any resonance? Im always get confused with harshness and resonance not sure whats the exact difference some people say soothe 2 can be used for harness removal and reso from MTM for resonance removal, if you dont mind can you please make a video on this topic?
